December always creeps in on a tide of half-written to-do lists and overflowing tabs, and this year is no different. Our calendars are filling with end-of-year drinks, beach days and last-minute dinners, and the group chat is mostly outfit planning and gift reconnaissance. In between it all, we have been quietly bookmarking the pieces we want to wear, use and wrap for someone else. Below, the RUSSH<\/em> team shares what is sitting at the top of their December wishlists \u2013 from sundresses<\/a> and sunglasses to jewellery, swimwear and the gifts we are actually buying<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The news that Chlo\u00e9 is opening a store in Sydney was music to my ears as there are a few pieces that have grabbed my attention, and I would love to try them on. This\u00a0Lace-trimmed silk-jacquard camisole<\/a> is one I have eyed for a while. I have also been thinking about getting a new camera, and I love the FujiFilm 100x<\/a>. The colour grading is just so good. Stella McCartney\u2019s t-shirt in collaboration with Jeff Koons<\/a> has also been a ‘want’ on my list for a while. And practically, my glasses broke last week, so I need to get a new pair ASAP as I am struggling without. I love these round Chlo\u00e9 frames<\/a>. I also really want A24\u2019s screenplay book for Priscilla<\/em><\/a>. I\u2019m in a phase of reading screenplays and this one would make a great christmas present.<\/p>\n

Shoes have been at the top of my want (and need) list this month. I finally pulled the trigger on these sandals by A Emery<\/a> \u2013 they\u2019re the perfect simple, staple pair. Still on my list are these woven flats by Alias Mae<\/a>. I did a deep dive into the woven trend this week, and now they\u2019re all I can think about.<\/p>\n

Now that it\u2019s boiling hot in Sydney, I am investing in sundresses, which Faithfull do so well \u2013\u00a0I love the colour and low-waisted silhouette of this one<\/a>. I am also genuinely obsessed with this black dress<\/a> by Little Yarn \u2013 the back cut-out is perfect. And for something a little dressier as we enter the festive season, the seafoam colour of this mini dress<\/a> by Hansen and Gretel really does something for me.<\/p>\n

And last but certainly not least, I think this red beaded mini bag<\/a> would be the perfect addition to just about any summer outfit.<\/p>\n

I am travelling to New Zealand later this month for a wedding, so I have been browsing FAITHFULL\u2019s site for some pre and post event attire and I love this Lova Midi Dress Maia Stripe Burgundy<\/a>, as well as this Anniken Maxi Dress Agua Stripe Mustard<\/a>.<\/p>\n

These Verali Stoked Block Heel Thongs<\/a> will prove comfortable and chic while over there.<\/p>\n

MATTEAU\u2019s Broderie anglaise cotton mini dress<\/a> is very cute for beach days and is on my wishlist. Yu Mei has been on my mind for weeks at this point, particularly this Antonia shoulder bag<\/a>. Their brown suede bags<\/a> are also to die for.<\/p>\n

I need a restock of the Merit, The Minimalist perfecting complexion stick<\/a>, and I may grab it in a darker shade for summer. These Saint Valentine North Star Mini Hoops<\/a> are in my cart, as well as these By Charlotte Gold Protection of Eye Hoops<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While I did complete most of my gift shopping in November, there are a couple purchases I\u2019m making this month, firstly, the amazon Kindle Colorsoft<\/a> \u2013 such a great gift idea, and secondly, I\u2019ve been using a Fressko drink bottle for a few months and it\u2019s a favourite of mine, so I will be gifting a Move drink bottle<\/a> to a special someone.<\/p>\n

I love December, the energy in the city is palpable, the weather is ever improving, and it is a wonderful month to be social. It\u2019s no secret that I love to host in the summer months, whether on my pink deck or in the shade of the dining room below. Since perfecting my bisque I am desperate for a new dinner service. La Casa Home\u2019s Visconti Dinner set<\/a> has been in my cart for a while and now it\u2019s on sale, I simply must. I will also be offering a little digestif and do not adhere to whisky being only for the winter months. This Enigma<\/a> from Callington Mill distillery has become a fan favourite chez moi with a singular ice cube. December is also the month for fantasising about what Father Christmas could bring you. Have I been good enough for the Phoebe Philo Pocket Gig in Oxblood<\/a>? Perhaps the Ann transparent shirt<\/a> to continue my long-line everything obsession? Everyone needs a good pair of party shoes for the festive season and I have my heart set on these Green CutOut Heels by Dries,<\/a> swoon.<\/p>\n

For easy summer dressing, I\u2019m eyeing a Staud mini dress<\/a> and a cuffed pair of off-white COS jeans<\/a>. Accessories have also been on my mind – I’m looking for a barely-there heel, and this MM6 pair<\/a> fits the brief, along with a new tote – I love the brown suede and gold hardware on this Coach bucket bag<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A big portion of my spending this month will go to Christmas shopping, which I love doing in person. The Strand Arcade<\/a> has all go-to\u2019s for gifting: Santa Maria Novella<\/a>, Maison Balzac<\/a>, Haighs<\/a>, Dinosaur Designs<\/a>, and The Nut Shop<\/a> (for shopping sustenance).<\/p>\n

If I could add one thing to my own Santa list this year, it would be this dreamy ring from Spinelli Kilcollin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I won\u2019t lie, my Black Friday and Cyber Monday wish list was overflowing. But I definitely have a few stand outs pieces that I think will carry me through many seasons to come. First, I love these Ancient Greek Sandals<\/a>. They\u2019re rubber meaning that they still look chic but you don\u2019t have to feel bad getting them wet or taking them to the beach. The perfect holiday shoe in my view. I want this low rise belt<\/a> to add to a festival outfit I\u2019m slowly curating. This basket bag<\/a> I first saw in one of Kirsty\u2019s fashion edits and I fell in love with it. I think it would be perfect with the aforementioned sandals, this white lace top from Staud<\/a> and a pair of denim cut offs. Dream summer outfit. I love having a pair of go-to linen pants to dress up or down and these chocolatey Faithfull ones are perfect<\/a>. Finally, this peachy dress from Mister Zimi<\/a> is so delightfully summery, I feel like I can\u2019t not buy it.<\/p>\n

I also bought a vintage black pea coat from the 60s from <\/span>Potts Point Vintage<\/span><\/a>. It was $245. Highly recommend you pay a visit if you\u2019re in Sydney. With that being said, Sydney summer and the black Friday sales have me in a chokehold. The Net-A-Porter sale is crazy \u2013 <\/span>this Liffner clutch<\/span><\/a> is gorgeous and a great price. I\u2019m not usually one for print or statement pieces but I adore <\/span>this Norma Kamali dress<\/span><\/a>. The spots are fun and the shape is perfect. I am also a Toteme loyalist \u2013\u00a0I buy a lot and wear the pieces constantly. In my cart is this beautiful <\/span>semi-sheer shirt<\/span><\/a>. Perfect over a tank in the office or a fun bra with a mini skirt on a night out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m also in need of some easy summer dresses to throw over my swimmers. As Kirsty mentioned, Faithfull is a reliable classic. <\/span>This strapless one<\/span><\/a> is my pick, as well as <\/span>this longer one<\/span><\/a> that\u2019s made for long lunches (ie, loose, long and breezy).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, I\u2019m restocking on some of my beauty staples right now, including <\/span>Cicaplast<\/span><\/a> (everyone needs a tube of this) and <\/span>Aesop hand wash<\/span><\/a> (nothing beats it).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I tend to spiral when I open my wardrobe in December. How do I dress for the heat again? After 9 months of jackets, tailoring and layering, and a predisposition to self-identify with winter outfitting, I begin to grapple with my sense of self when the days get longer and hotter. Fortunately, there isn\u2019t a shortage of interesting summer pieces summoning me in my shopping tabs. I keep returning to this Sc103 skirt<\/a>, this Rave Review dress<\/a> and Anita Ov\u2019s Bias Stripe Tee<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Do I need some more Pleats Please pieces? (That\u2019s a rhetorical question). This top<\/a> has been in my cart for weeks, and I swear by my current Issey Pleats separates when I travel.<\/p>\n

As event season accelerates, I\u2019m eyeing this mini dress from Beare Park<\/a>, these heels from Paris Georgia,<\/a> and the Tissot Ballade 30mm<\/a> to tie it all together (and make sure I get to all my events on time).<\/p>\n
