Ever since Hulu pulled the plug on High Fidelity<\/em> after just one season, fans have been wondering if the record might spin again someday. And according to Oscar winner Da\u2019Vine Joy Randolph, the cast hasn\u2019t stopped thinking about it either \u2013 especially her and stylish series lead Zo\u00eb Kravitz<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What do we know so far?<\/h2>\n

In a recent chat with Rolling Stone<\/em>, Randolph didn\u2019t hesitate when asked if she\u2019d return. \u201cAbsolutely,\u201d she said. \u201cWe all feel the same way. Zo\u00eb and I talk about it all the time, like, \u2018How can we figure this out?\u2019 Give it back to the people, but really give it back to us, because we just really love it.\u201d For fans of the show, this answer instantly reignites hope \u2013 the actors clearly aren\u2019t ready to close the door on Rob and Cherise\u2019s world.<\/p>\n

Still, Randolph acknowledged that reviving a show like High Fidelity<\/em> isn\u2019t as simple as wanting it. \u201cIt\u2019s a really tricky one, because you\u2019re trying to recapture lightning in a bottle,\u201d she explained. Sometimes, she added, you have to trust that a project lived the life it was meant to \u2013 while also staying open to whatever comes next.<\/p>\n

Kravitz has been open about how much the cancellation stung. She told Elle<\/em> earlier this year, \u201cI keep on going back to Hulu and trying to get them to re-up it.\u201d<\/p>\n

So, will High Fidelity<\/em> ever make a comeback? Who knows. But with the cast still talking about it \u201call the time\u201d and fans continuing to root for more, the possibility isn\u2019t completely off the table. Sometimes, all it takes is the right spark to drop the needle again.<\/p>\n

What was the High Fidelity <\/em>series about?<\/h2>\n

The 2020 series was a modern, gender-swapped riff on the original John Cusack film (which famously featured Kravitz\u2019s mother, Lisa Bonet) and Nick Hornby\u2019s beloved novel of the same name. In the Hulu series remake, Kravitz starred as Robyn \u201cRob\u201d Brooks, a Brooklyn record-store owner reexamining her past breakups with charm, snark, and a killer soundtrack. Randolph\u2019s Cherise \u2013 Rob\u2019s devoted friend and Championship Vinyl co-worker \u2013 quickly became a fan favourite.<\/p>\n

Despite warm reviews from both critics and viewers, Hulu canceled the series after one season. To make matters worse, the finale left things hanging: Rob finally chose Clyde (Jake Lacy) after wavering between him and her ex, Mac (Kingsley Ben-Adir). But Clyde\u2019s joking prediction \u2013 that their chances were a bleak \u201c9%\u201d \u2013 felt like the setup for a second chapter viewers never got.<\/p>\n
