Whether we&#8217;re debating the merits of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.russh.com\/best-matcha-sydney\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">latest matcha latte spots<\/a> or deep-diving into a roll-call of the best places to grab a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.russh.com\/ramen-sydney\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">steaming hot pot of ramen<\/a>, we&#8217;re opinionated, fascinated and always hungry for more.<\/p>\n<p>But in case you were in need of some recommendations of places to eat or recipes to try, we thought it was about time we shared our gustatory opinions outside of the <em>RUSSH<\/em> HQ walls. And this month, the editors have been devouring some great recs. From steaming hot dumplings to Lobster Ravioli in Chilli Oil \u2013 this is what the <em>RUSSH<\/em> editors have been eating this November.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Cassandra Dimitroff<\/h3>\n<p><em>Features and Production Editor<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.russh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/editor-eats-november-2025-cassie.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On a recent whirlwind trip to Melbourne I managed to squeeze in a trip to <a href=\"https:\/\/carnationcanteen.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carnation Canteen in Fitzroy<\/span><\/a> that was unbelievably chic and delicious. This zucchini risotto drizzled with cream and olive oil was velvety and sharp and paired beautifully with herbed potatoes, filo-wrapped feta and a citrusy green salad. I also had this lemon meringue tart to top off an incredible long lunch at <a href=\"https:\/\/ottoristorante.com.au\/sydney\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Otto in Woolloomooloo<\/span><\/a>. It was maybe the most delicious (and photogenic) dessert I\u2019ve had of late.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Stacey Gaskin<\/h3>\n<p><em>Consumer Revenue Manager<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.russh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Editors-Eats-Nov-Stacey.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My husband and I were lucky enough to have a two-night stay at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airbnb.com.au\/rooms\/1518418216038288914?\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Machinery Shed at Logan Brae Orchard<\/span><\/a> this month. I will have to book for another stay in apple season, but before we arrived, we stopped off at Harris Farm to pick up some goodies for a cheese plate. We made a vacation-worthy breakfast with eggs from the free-range chickens (and coffee \u2013 I need that Breville espresso machine, stat) and enjoyed the view. One evening we took the short drive to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenewivanhoehotel.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Ivanhoe Hotel<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and enjoyed their arancini, Barramundi and Parmi.<\/p>\n<p>The other delicious treat I enjoyed recently was a caesar wrap from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/crosssectionsyd\/?hl=en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cross Section<\/span><\/a> in Darlinghurst. Top notch.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Jaime Carmody<\/h3>\n<p><em>Digital Marketing Specialist<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.russh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/November-Eats1.jpeg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>November has ushered in the alfresco season \u2014 daylight savings, warm evenings, the works. So my partner and I treated ourselves to dinner at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.janesurryhills.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jane in Surry Hills<\/a>. We both agreed it wouldn\u2019t be a crime to just order the whey potato with a glass of wine and call it a night, but we went all in: the kangaroo tartare, lamb dumplings and watercress salad were all 10\/10. My dog, Jack, enjoyed fresh spring water and a treat, naturally. Jane has long been a favourite of mine \u2014 perfect people-watching, and by the way their \u2018Australiano\u2019 hour runs seven days a week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Sophia Serafin<\/h3>\n<p><em>Implementation Manager<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.russh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Reformation-Favourite-Brand-Navi-Top.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been a big month of dining out for me\u2026 again. Highlights included the banquet at <a href=\"https:\/\/bloodwoodnewtown.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bloodwood in Newtown<\/span><\/a> \u2013 a fresh, thoughtful seasonal spread with plenty of dietary-friendly options. I also enjoyed an outdoor wine-and-snack moment at the newly opened <a href=\"http:\/\/google.com\/search?q=vincenzos&amp;oq=vincenzos&amp;gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCAgAEEUYJxg7MggIABBFGCcYOzIGCAEQRRhAMgwIAhAjGCcYgAQYigUyEwgDEAAYgwEYkQIYsQMYgAQYigUyBggEEEUYPDIGCAUQRRg8MgYIBhBFGDwyBggHEEUYPNIBCDMzNjVqMGo0qAIAsAIA&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vin-Cenzo\u2019s in Darlinghurst<\/span><\/a>; their focaccia has taken my #1 spot in the ranks. Forever craving Japanese, so I was excited to finally try <a href=\"https:\/\/tanukisydney.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tenuki in Double Bay<\/span><\/a> \u2013 everything impressed, but the Seafood Gyoza and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice were genuinely next level. Notable mentions to favourites that I revisited: <a href=\"https:\/\/themargaretfamily.com\/venue\/margaret\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Margaret in Double Bay<\/span><\/a> (especially the Lobster Ravioli in Chilli Oil and the Anchovy Salad with Smoked Tomato, Potatoes and Sourdough), <a href=\"https:\/\/merivale.com\/venues\/tottis\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Totti\u2019s Bondi<\/span><\/a> (always reliable for a long lunch with friends), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/lapanchinasydney\/?hl=en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Panchina in Surry Hills<\/span><\/a> \u2013 my local pizza spot and one of the best. The Cacio e Pepe and Classic Buffalina remain crowd-pleasers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Samantha Corry<\/h3>\n<p><em>Social Media Coordinator and Assistant to Editor In Chief<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.russh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Foooood.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I got breakfast at one of my favourite places on the weekend and it truly healed me: <a href=\"https:\/\/barbetta.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barbetta in Paddington<\/a>\u2019s Crostino Forza Italia, which is just avocado toast with Fior di latte, cherry tomatoes, prosciutto, and basil. I love making chicken schnitzel, so I made a lot of that recently. I don&#8217;t really follow a recipe but panko crumbs, parmesan, and parsley are a must in my crumb. But my overall favourite meal of the month would be pork and cabbage fried dumplings from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1919masternoodle.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1919 Lanzhou Beef Noodle<\/a>, and you must put soy sauce and their chilli oil on. It is making me hungry thinking about how good these are. And Kirsty, Cass and I were lucky enough to try <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aambra.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rose Bay\u2019s newest Levantine restaurant Aambra<\/a>. An old church that has been turned into a restaurant \u2013 so gorgeous.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Mia Steiber<\/h3>\n<p><em>Digital Strategy Director &amp; Associate Publisher<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.russh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/november-eats-mia-2025.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve been focusing on some proper home cooking in the last month. I\u2019m a <a href=\"https:\/\/farmerspick.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Farmer\u2019s Pick subscriber<\/a>, so I get fortnightly deliveries of a potluck of fruit and veg. It\u2019s actually a lot of fun working out what to make with it all. Salads have been my go to, roast vegetable salads and Asian cabbage salads. Also, I don\u2019t care how hot it gets, I won\u2019t stop making the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DMyUQWhTKtY\/?hl=en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the FoodbyLucy broth and rice recipes<\/span><\/a>. The gochujang ones are my favourites. My one eating-out indulgence has been the focaccia sandwiches from Norma\u2019s Deli. It\u2019s actually inspired me to start making focaccia at home again. And I couldn\u2019t leave out the cherry and chocolate cake Cassie made for our Scorpio birthdays celebration.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Emily Algar<\/h3>\n<p><em>Beauty Editor<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.russh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Untitled-design-2025-11-27T112712.377.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Like Cass, I also made the trip to <a href=\"https:\/\/carnationcanteen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carnation Canteen<\/a> this past month \u2013 it left a similar lasting impression. The house bruschetta and chocolate paperweight left on the bill were particularly special (nothing is better at a restaurant than when you politely declare you\u2019re too full for dessert, but they offer something small and sweet regardless). On the same trip to Melbourne I went to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.floriancarlton.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florian in Carlton<\/a> for my favourite ever breakfast: gravalax, a soft egg and cucumbers dressed in buttermilk. The best.\u00a0 Given I only have half a kitchen right now, my personal cooking endeavours back in Sydney have been few and far between, but I am existing on salad sandwiches from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thesandwichstopsydney\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Sandwich Shop in Oxford Village<\/a>, Darlinghurst. They are huge, wrapped in foil and come in under $15. You can\u2019t lose.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Kirsty Thatcher<\/h3>\n<p><em>Digital Editor<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.russh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/nov-eats.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>November is such a busy birthday month for my friendship group, so I had lots of celebratory meals with friends. My favourite, though, would have to have been dinner at <a href=\"https:\/\/fratelliparadiso.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fratelli Paradiso in Potts Point<\/a>. Aperol, crusty bread, and olives made for the perfect starter, which we followed up with an array of pastas \u2013 although the scampi is my all-time favourite. We managed to snag our table for a few hours, so we were able to stay for dessert and (many) cocktails. Also, I am such a sucker for a salad sandwich \u2013 I think it\u2019s the perfect post-beach lunch on a summer\u2019s day.
