Beloved Hong Kong\u2013born artist Kasing Lung is bringing his whimsical world of \u201cThe Monsters\u201d into the world of French luxury<\/a>. In celebration of Labubu\u2019s 10th anniversary, Lung has partnered with heritage Maison Moynat on a capsule collection of handbags and small leather goods featuring his signature characters Labubu<\/a>, Zimomo, and King Mon.<\/p>\n

The collaboration, set to debut in early October in Shanghai<\/a>, marks the first time Lung\u2019s artwork has appeared on leather goods.<\/p>\n

When is it available to shop?<\/h2>\n

The collection will be available from 11 October 2025 until early 2026 only.<\/p>\n

Following its debut in Shanghai, Paris and Taipei, the collection will be available to purchase in Hong Kong from 5 December 2025. The launch will feature exclusive, limited-edition embroidered charms and little suitcases, along with a special installation and pop-up in BELOWGROUND and Moynad Boutiques at Landmark Hong Kong.<\/p>\n

Can I shop the collection online?<\/h2>\n

Maison Moynat does not currently offer an e-commerce service on their website, so shoppers will need to visit one of their boutiques in Shanghai, Paris, Taipei or Hong Kong to purchase from the collection.<\/p>\n

What’s in the capsule collection?<\/h2>\n

From mini trunks to passport holders, M canvas, Tote bags, the Hobo bag, Mini 48h and the exclusive Mignon bags, the pieces spotlight Moynat\u2019s renowned craftsmanship while capturing the playful spirit of Lung\u2019s illustrations. Highlights include two-dimensional bag charms and M Canvas bags, where the brand\u2019s archival monogram is reimagined with colorful prints of Lung\u2019s fantastical creatures.<\/p>\n

So far, the collection reveal online features the actress Michelle Yeoh<\/a>, the actor Tony Leung, fashion editor Carine Roitfeld, and Danseur \u00e9toile of the Paris Opera Ballet<\/a>, Guillaume Diop.<\/p>\n

For Lung, the partnership feels like a natural extension of his art. \u201cThe reason I accepted is because they are making such high-quality products, made by hand like my paintings. I think it\u2019s very matching,\u201d he explained during a preview in Paris. He praised Moynat\u2019s ability to reproduce his vibrant colors with remarkable precision, noting how seamlessly the designs blended with the maison\u2019s heritage motifs.<\/p>\n

Though Labubu was originally conceived as a side character in Lung\u2019s \u201cMonsters\u201d trilogy, the character has emerged as a global phenomenon. Her mischievous charm has captured the hearts of fans from children to fashion luminaries, including Marc Jacobs<\/a> and Blackpink\u2019s Lalisa<\/a>. Plush versions and charms sold through Pop Mart<\/a> have only fuelled demand, with fans eagerly awaiting Lung\u2019s foray into luxury.<\/p>\n

The artist, who takes inspiration from Nordic folklore and childhood favourites like The Smurfs<\/em><\/a>, views the collaboration as another avenue for storytelling. \u201cAll my picture books and figurines are storytelling. The project with Moynat is storytelling,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
