There is a quiet rebellion in retreat. A breath drawn slowly, a moment stretched like silk between fingers, held just before it disappears. She exists in the space between \u2013 the shadowed corners of an apartment at dusk, the whisper of sequins against bare skin, the press of leather folding softly around movement. Here, in this quiet, she is unafraid.<\/p>\n

Celine drapes like armour, not to protect, but to sharpen. A blazer slipping from a shoulder, an undone button, the defiance of a sheer layer meeting the weight of a tailored cut \u2013 Hedi Slimane\u2019s woman understands restraint, but refuses to be contained. She is both muse and maker, poised between structure and surrender, the afterimage of a night too long or a morning too soon.<\/p>\n

For the pages of our March\u00a0Retreat\u00a0<\/em>issue, French model Violette Meima<\/a>, through the lens of Crista Leonard, is adorned in the talismans of a life untamed. Her shoes, pointed and precise. A black leather mini. The pillowy folds of a blouse. She meets it all with ease.<\/p>\n

This is not about escape, but reclamation \u2013 of solitude, of silence, of self. And so she lingers, unhurried, at the edge of the frame.<\/p>\n
