There’s really no world in which we aren’t hyped to see Cillian Murphy back as our leading man Tommy Shelby, but there’s added anticipation when it’s in the form of a feature-length\u00a0Peaky Blinders\u00a0<\/em>film.<\/p>\n

Yes, Netflix has confirmed that it’s in production \u2013 officially titled The Immortal Man\u00a0<\/em>\u2013 and has recently even been given a theatrical release alongside its streaming release date next year.\u00a0If you’re a long-time fan of the hit television show, then read on for all the latest news and updates on the\u00a0Peaky Blinders\u00a0<\/em>film.<\/p>\n

Who is in the cast?<\/h2>\n

Irish actor-of-the-moment Barry Keoghan<\/a> \u2013 best known to you for either his Oscar-nominated performance in The Banshees of Inisherin<\/em> or for\u00a0that<\/em> penultimate Saltburn <\/em>scene that feels burned into our retinas \u2013 has been cast. Keoghan is set to join forces with the franchise’s enigmatic lead, Cillian Murphy, in what feels like the most natural casting of the season (so natural in fact, we had to question whether Keoghan had already been in the show before…).<\/p>\n

With Keoghan joining the lineup, the show’s film adaptation is shaping up to be a good one. Series star, Murphy (that’s Oscar-winner Cillian Murphy<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>to you), is “definitely” returning to the role of Tommy Shelby.<\/p>\n

In addition to Murphy, we know that Dune<\/em>‘s Rebecca Ferguson will also be joining the cast, alongside Tim Roth (a Tarantino favourite from the likes of Pulp Fiction <\/em>and Reservoir Dogs<\/em>). Of course, we’d love to see some of the other OG cast members call a back for the film, like Paul Anderson, Tom Hardy, Finn Cole, Sam Claflin or Anya Taylor-Joy.<\/p>\n
