Swimwear<\/a> is one of those categories that refuses to be one size fits all. Bodies, preferences, fabric quirks, support needs. Everyone is working to a different brief. So instead of pretending there is a universal answer, the RUSSH<\/em> editors are sharing the styles we genuinely reach for, along with a few pieces that have earned a spot on our wishlists. Consider this the real shortlist for summer.<\/p>\n

My swimwear draw is (literally) overflowing, so I feel qualified to speak on this topic. You typically won\u2019t find me swimming in anything other than a string bikini, and there are a few brands I\u2019m loyal to. Faithfull is always my go-to, and this summer I\u2019m eyeing off this buttermilk top<\/a> and bottoms<\/a> \u2013 I love the addition of beading for a little bit of interest. Triangl also nails the classic string bikini \u2013 I was recently given this blue pair<\/a>, and can\u2019t fault them.<\/p>\n

In the spirit of growing up, I\u2019ve also diversified my swimwear to include this top<\/a> (it\u2019s unbelievably flattering, thanks to a tie-back situation) and bottoms<\/a>, both by Monday Swimwear.<\/p>\n

And I\u2019ve recently purchased this one piece<\/a> by Assembly \u2013 I love that it\u2019s simple and practical, but has a little bit going on at the back.<\/p>\n

\"\"My swimwear wishlist is feeling very minimal this Summer (which I\u2019m not mad about at all). Faithfull\u2019s Eden bikini in hazelnut<\/a> is the neutral I know I\u2019ll reach for on repeat; simple, and quietly flattering. I\u2019m also loving this sea toned blue bikini<\/a>.<\/p>\n

No swim wishlist is complete without Hunza G. The Pamela swimsuit<\/a>. On the more timeless side, this triangle top by Matteau<\/a> is exactly what I\u2019m picturing for those days when simplicity feels best.<\/p>\n

Swimwear can be tricky with a bust, so I always revert to what I know works best. I have many colour and fabric variations of the Casanova Bikini Top from Fella Swim<\/a>, paired with their Chad Bottoms<\/a>. Faithfull the Brand\u2019s Sol Bikini<\/a> has a similar shape which I find flattering too. This chocolate one-piece from Faithfull<\/a>, which also comes in a butter shade<\/a>, is gorgeous for a more full-coverage moment.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve also had my eye on these striped terry shorts from Venroy<\/a> and a fun coverup from Johanna Oritz<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I am in the water a lot in the summer months, so I don\u2019t feel too bad about having a robust collection of swimwear. As long as you buy quality, it lasts for years. I am very invested in finding a bronzey toned set this year, and I love the Olah string bikinis from Bokumaia<\/a>. Whether you\u2019re petite and busty or full figured, Bokumaia is incredible for any kind of curves and I always feel my best in this brand. I\u2019m also looking at this rust set from Sommer Swim<\/a>, I love the gold detailing.<\/p>\n

Speaking of gold detailing, the purple sets at Bydee are total head-turners<\/a>. I\u2019ve been eyeing off some of those pieces since last summer. Finally, the elastic in my absolute favourite black swimwear finally died. We had a wonderful 9 years together, alas it is now having a new life in the fabric recycling bin. But this means I need a new black one-piece and at this stage I\u2019m tossing up between this strapless Myra Swim maillot<\/a> and this Gooseberry one<\/a> that is all over my Instagram feed. I do plan to top off all my swimwear looks with this SPF bronzing body oil<\/a> for the perfect faux summer glow.<\/p>\n

Black and brown tones are usually my go-to colour preferences for most of my wardrobe. But, I want to brighten things up a bit this summer and what better way to incorporate some colour than in swimwear.<\/p>\n

This Tidal Swimwear String Back One Piece from ModiBodi<\/a> is made from Seaqual recycled ocean plastics and is great for anyone on their period. Love the low back and ties.<\/p>\n

Hunza G’s red Coverage Juno Bikini<\/a> looks comfortable and would compliment my fair skin, and I\u2019m in love with the green and ivory Crete Swim Cardi<\/a> and matching Capri Top<\/a> and Santa Cruz Short<\/a> from Monday Swimwear.<\/p>\n

Last, but certainly not least, I must immediately get my hands on the Palermo Top<\/a> and Balboa Bottom in Ch\u00e9rie<\/a> from Bydee \u2013 it\u2019s stunning.<\/p>\n

The LA-LU Peggy One Piece<\/a> (also in my December shopping list) is a must for summer. The whole brand is so fun and has some really fresh takes on swimwear silhouettes.<\/p>\n

One Mile has recently branched out into swimwear too and has such fun silhouettes that can double for beach-side attire \u2013 love the Nali Strapless Top Yellow Polka<\/a> and matching Nali Boyshort<\/a>. They also have this incredible Cabo Halter One Piece in Azure Sol<\/a> \u2013 which you can pair with a whole range of matching sheer skirts and tops. LIDO\u2019s Trentasei Striped one piece<\/a> is also high on the list \u2013 alongside this Peony Swim Ruched Crop<\/a>.<\/p>\n
