Naturally, we’re in the midst of discussing the outfits we’re wearing on New Year’s Eve<\/a> as though this is a friendly group chat.<\/p>\n

Of course, your outfit depends on your plans. Are you committed to roughing it at a festival or have you scheduled a laid back afternoon with your closest pals? Is quiet drinks on a rooftop your thing? Or maybe you plan to purge the past year by sweating it out on the dance floor. In any case, if you’re in need of inspiration around what to wear on New Year’s Eve, below the RUSSH\u00a0<\/em>editors share the outfits they’re planning to wear while ringing in the New Year.<\/p>\n

NYE is the one time of year I swap out my basics for something FUN. I\u2019ve yet to pick an exact outfit, but I\u2019m eyeing off this<\/span> Fronce Ruched Top from Dyspnea<\/span><\/a> (how fun with a cute pair of jeans?),<\/span>Wynn Hamlyn\u2019s Pansy Button Mini Dress<\/span><\/a> \u2013 a chic alternative to traditional NYE sparkles that still have a bold texture and shine. <\/span><\/p>\n

My heart has also been won over by<\/span> Hand Over\u2019s sheer sequin Leandro skirts<\/span><\/a> (I will also be reusing for Mardi Gras in Feb). Alternatively, <\/span>Mode Mischief\u2019s Lum<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

I shamefully don\u2019t have New Year\u2019s Eve plans yet, which means that my outfit options are well and truly open. And while I don\u2019t have a destination, I do have <\/span>plenty <\/span><\/i>of possible looks. Starting off strong, I found this new, gorgeous silk set from Christopher Esber, and it\u2019s screaming party to me. I adore the <\/span>lattice detail on the back of the top<\/span><\/a>, and the <\/span>draping in the skirt<\/span><\/a> is a dream for dancing. To accessorise, I would pair the look with a fun flat, like these gorgeous <\/span>Tom Ford satin mules<\/span><\/a>, and in a dream world, this iconic <\/span>CHANEL evening bag from 2014-2015<\/span><\/a>. Try and tell me this isn\u2019t the perfect outfit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And while I hope I find plans worthy of such an outfit, the reality is that more than likely, I\u2019ll be sitting by the pool surrounded by my favourite people watching the sun go down. Thankfully, I am prepared for that too. In that case, you will probably find me in something easy like this playful <\/span>Faithfull Mini Dress<\/span><\/a>, paired with the most comfortable Tkees sandals<\/a> and these gorgeous <\/span>Dinosaur Design resin earrings<\/span><\/a> that I can wear comfortably until we enter the new year.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m excited for some (you guessed it) sparkle. I like to get dressed up for New Years, even if I don\u2019t have a massive night planned.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’d love to wear this Everly High Neck Cowl Mini Dress – chestnut<\/a>, styled similar to the campaign imagery, with the La Lune Bias Cut Pant – espresso<\/a>. I also love the low neckline on the Averio Dress from CAMILLA AND MARC<\/a>.
\nCharlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk Luxury palette<\/a> is a must, along with some Arms Of Eve jewellery. This Olivia Gold Cuff Bracelet<\/a> and the Dragon Gold Chain Bracelet<\/a> are in my cart.
\nFor a day-to-night NYE party, FAITHFULL’s Ale Midi Dress in Olive<\/a> is a fabulous choice. Styled with these mocha St Agni Petit Belt Detail Wedge<\/a> and Jan Logan 9ct yellow gold green amethyst & green agate rona earrings<\/a> \u2013 a dream.<\/p>\n

My NYE will be spent at the iconic La Poste pub in Cortina, Italy. No summer dresses or sandals here. But I do think I\u2019ll wear my favourite A.Golde Jeans (<\/span>this pair <\/span><\/a>\u2013 I live in them and have them in two washes) with my classic black boots from The Row (here\u2019s a <\/span>really similar option from Tony Bianco<\/span><\/a>). I just had a sole put on them so I don\u2019t slip over in the snow. <\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll probably layer a black turtle neck (hot tip, the <\/span>Uniqlo thermals<\/span><\/a> are super fine so great for layering) with a fun jacket. <\/span>This one from Arket<\/span><\/a> is beautiful and at such a great price. To break up all the black I need some jewelry \u2013 I love <\/span>these drop earrings<\/span><\/a> from Heaven Mayhem. I\u2019d probably add <\/span>this matching cuff<\/span><\/a> worn outside the sleeve of my jacket for good measure.<\/span><\/p>\n

I would go to extreme lengths to own this <\/span>Nour Hammour coat<\/span><\/a> to keep me warm as I walk back to my hotel, but I don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to happen. Onto the 2026 vision board it goes\u2026 <\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not sure where I\u2019ll be this New Years\u2026 but here are two dream scenarios – and the outfits to match:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. A disco-party, aka an excuse to bring out the sparkle. I\u2019d channel the Prada FW1997 collection with an embellished minidress <\/span>from MIU MIU<\/span><\/a> or <\/span>Self-Portrait<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>a festive bag by Rabanne<\/span><\/a> or <\/span>Staud<\/span><\/a>, and my dream <\/span>burgundy Saint Laurent mule<\/span><\/a>. Add some bling – anything from <\/span>Laura Miers for jewels<\/span><\/a>, a <\/span>Wildflower case<\/span><\/a>, and a <\/span>shimmer on the eye from Victoria Beckham<\/span><\/a>. If I were in New York (or any cold climate), I\u2019d throw on <\/span>this Frankie Shop plush coat<\/span><\/a> which feels so Carrie Bradshaw.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Dinner at sunset by the water with my closest friends – still very much an excuse to dress up. I\u2019d opt for <\/span>a D\u00f4en Silk check dress<\/span><\/a> or a fun top from <\/span>St Agni<\/span><\/a> or <\/span>Sharon Wauchob<\/span><\/a>, paired with <\/span>R13 denim<\/span><\/a>. I\u2019d finish it off with <\/span>Merit’s five-minute set<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>swimmers<\/span><\/a> underneath just in-case, and <\/span>my favourite bottle of wine<\/span><\/a> for sharing.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    For New Years Eve this year, I\u2019m on the hunt for just the right hint of sparkle. I love this <\/span>Ganni fur bag<\/span><\/a> or this <\/span>Paco Rabanne shoulder bag<\/span><\/a> for a bit of metallic glamour. I\u2019m also loving these <\/span>Studio Amelia heels<\/span><\/a> in pink for a pop of colour and these <\/span>Bec + Bridge heels in burgundy<\/span><\/a>. I\u2019m really drawn to this flirty little <\/span>La-lu Label tank<\/span><\/a>, this sleek <\/span>Little Yarn 2 piece set<\/span><\/a> as well as these<\/span> jeans from Cos<\/span><\/a> at the moment.<\/span><\/p>\n

    I\u2019ve been eyeing off this gorgeous <\/span>mini dress from Par Moi<\/span><\/a> for something a little playful. And t<\/span>o finish the look, I\u2019ll be swiping on<\/span> Merits signature lip in a bold red<\/span><\/a> for the night, sorry in advance to my new years kiss. I also have these <\/span>silver hoops from Saint Valentine<\/span><\/a> wish listed for an extra touch of glam.<\/span><\/p>\n

    My New Year\u2019s Eves are generally spent by the beach or the pool, so in all honesty, the last two years my outfit has simply been a swimsuit with some linen pants over the top. This year will likely be the same. I have a strapless one-piece that doubles as a bodysuit when needed, it\u2019s from Elce Swim and while they don\u2019t sell it anymore, <\/span>this Bond-eye piece is nearly identical<\/span><\/a>. For over the top I want <\/span>these St. Agni pants<\/span><\/a>, they\u2019re so light-weight and breezey. <\/span>These Tony Bianco flip flops<\/span><\/a> will be the perfect sandal to match. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Beauty will be minimal, I\u2019ll probably just add a blush and bronze when I get out of the water. Since I lost my favourite jelly blush, I\u2019ve been substituting with the<\/span> Dior Lip Glow in Strawberry<\/span><\/a> and honestly, it kind of works as the perfect sheer, cream blush. I\u2019ve also been loving <\/span>the Haleau Beauty bronze highlighter<\/span><\/a>. I use it all over, as a highlighter, eyeshadow and even on my collarbones. <\/span><\/p>\n

    As my little touch of bling, I have <\/span>my Natalie Marie Jewellery tennis bracelet<\/span><\/a> and my beloved <\/span>Stella McCartney Falabella bag<\/span><\/a> that I bought on my recent trip to Japan.<\/span><\/p>\n

    My New Year\u2019s plans are still up in the air (aren\u2019t they always?) but I know they will involve sunshine and champagne, one way or another. This <\/span>Bondi Born dress<\/span><\/a> is so perfect for summer \u2014 it would double as a great Christmas Day look, too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    During the day, I’m planning on parking myself at the beach, preferably in this buttermilk bikini<\/a> by Faithfull. I also love this wrap dress<\/a> by Soleil Soleil as the perfect throw-on for nipping away for some lunch.<\/p>\n

    For something a little more party-esque, this cherry red top<\/a> and skirt<\/a> combo by Hansen and Gretel currently lives rent free in my head. I love that it’s the same colour as this Roro Apertivo Spritz<\/a>, which is my new favourite drink (and no doubt what I’ll be sipping at midnight). It would be cute with these heels from Tony Bianco<\/a>, but if I\u2019m being realistic, I\u2019ll probably be running around in my Havianas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    Last but not least, no NYE look is complete without jewellery. I\u2019m eyeing up <\/span>these vintage-inspired earrings<\/span><\/a> by Heaven Mayhem.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The best new years I\u2019ve ever had are those I do not plan, however, that doesn\u2019t mean I can\u2019t at least plan some outfits. Potential scenarios include a ridiculous houseparty that inevitably one of my friends’ themes, in that case I\u2019d love this sparkly vision from <\/span>Self Portrait<\/span><\/a>, however, I don\u2019t do bare legs so I\u2019ll be getting some <\/span>Wolford Velvet de Luxe tights<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

    I<\/span>\u2019d also throw on a knee high boot with a sensible heel for all night dancing, these <\/span>Chloe Phoenix boots<\/span><\/a>. They would be wonderful as they would become a wardrobe staple for the rest of the year. Alternatively, have you ever really seen a sexier look at a party than a woman in a tuxedo? I would love to do the <\/span>Christoper Esber contrast tuxedo<\/span><\/a> with nothing underneath and statement earrings, <\/span>like these<\/span><\/a>, from my favourite Serpent and the Swan.<\/span><\/p>\n

    For New Years I will actually be at Lost Paradise the music festival, where this will actually be my first time camping at a festival. And I haven\u2019t actually thought about what I will be wearing. Considering the location, most likely in<\/span> denim shorts, I liked these from Venroy<\/span><\/a> and these <\/span>Hunter boots<\/span><\/a> (Classic for a festival) and this <\/span>Realisation Par Cheetah singlet<\/span><\/a>. And to top off a <\/span>straw hat<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

    I will of course be taking my ride or die<\/span> Uniqlo mini half bag<\/span><\/a>. I will be sweating a lot I can imagine, so I will be purchasing a bottle of<\/span> Krylolan setting spray<\/span><\/a>. I heard it\u2019s like hairspray for your makeup.<\/span><\/p>\n
