Capricorns are the ultimate go-getters—practical, determined, and always striving for success. But there’s more to this magnetic drive and quiet strength than meets the eye. Here, resident RUSSH astrologer Jules Ferrari is decoding the captivating traits that make Capricorns both fascinating and unstoppable.

Capricorn personality traits, explained

You are made of strong substances; the Earth, Saturn and Cardinal energy. Cardinal is an energy that self-activates, it has energy that wants to be utilised and to get things happening. In Earth, it suggests that you can make things happen out in the world and with your ruler being Saturn, this energy points to self-mastery over your lifetime, utilising Saturn’s traits of structure, discipline, authority. That self-mastery is learnt through your roles out in the world, your responsibilities and duties.

As the Mountain Goat you have come here to ascend to new heights. It is important for your sign to have direction, be they yearly goals or the vision of the mountain(s) that you wish to climb and claim. It is worth assessing your visions and defining what success looks and feels like for you as an individual. It is important that what you are working towards feels true to you as this will provide far more stamina than trying to master another person’s idea of success.

Your ruler, Saturn, represents authority. As children, our authority is naturally outsourced to our care givers and teachers and it is as adults (especially through the initiation of our Saturn Return) that we must re-assess our relationship to authority and pull it back into ourselves, embodying ourselves. Comb through your desires and ambitions and ways of doing and being and observe if they are natural to you or conditioned. This process and application aligns you even more with your own integrity. And as Patti Smith said (a fellow Capricorn), ‘be concerned with doing good work and make the right choices and protect your work. And if you build a good name, eventually, that name will be its own currency.’

Maturity is a trait often applied to your sign and part of this is due to your ruler being the lord of time, meaning that, for you, you have a natural eye on the long game, you can see the Mountains that may take years to climb, that other people cannot see, and this is part of your gold. You have come here to contribute to the world, part of you is geared to go beyond the personal and into your roles in society. This is why Capricorns can seem to skip childhood and go straight into adult responsibility. Your roles are your mountains. They tether you to life and bring a sense of purpose and direction. Your roles bring you your flow.

HEALING BALM

Cancer, your opposing sign, is a nourishing and revitalising bath for your archetype. While Capricorn is your concrete roles and ambitions out in the world, Cancer energy represents your inner world, your inner sanctuary that you can retreat into and be rejuvenated by. It is self-love and nurturance; it is the processes that fill up your cup so that when the day is new you can go out into the world and be fuelled for your mission, balanced with your personal world.

January opens with a grounded openness. This is a month shaped by earth and air – the elements of structure and thought, grounding and clarity, form and idea. Earth asks us to stabilise; to take stock of what is real, sustainable, and worth building. It pulls attention toward foundations – e.g. work, our bodies, commitments, and the systems that hold our lives together. Air, on the other hand, brings perspective. It clears mental clutter, sharpens language, and encourages dialogue.

The first week opens with an emotional Full Moon in Cancer on 3 January, inviting us to feel our way into the new year rather than rush ahead of ourselves. Ideas circulate more freely, plans take shape, and conversations become catalytic. Aquarius season begins on 20 January, and so this is a month for laying intelligent foundations whilst paying attention to your intuition.

Pop these dates in your diary:

3 January: Full Moon in Cancer19 January: New Moon in Capricorn20 January: Aquarius season begins27 January: Neptune moves into Aries

Aries

It’s a new era for you, and Neptune, the planet of spirituality, moves into your sign for the next few decades. This month sharpens your focus on two key arenas – work and your network. Momentum is building, but before you surge ahead, there’s a necessary recalibration underway. Think of this as the strategic pause that refines your edge. You’re being asked to assess what’s truly worth your effort, where your energy delivers the greatest return, and which ambitions are ready to move from concept to execution.

Professional growth is very much on the horizon, especially with the New Moon on 19 January offering up some fresh ideas. But it won’t come from scattering yourself thin. Precision is your power now. Tighten your goals, streamline your systems, and commit to the structures that can actually support expansion.

Taurus

Travel and work are closely intertwined for you this month, occupying both your thoughts and your forward planning. The Full Moon on 3 January will be a beacon to help you figure out what you desire. There’s a sense that movement – whether literal or conceptual – is tied to your long-term direction. You may be considering a change of scenery to gain perspective, exploring opportunities that extend beyond your usual environment, or imagining how your work could exist on a broader stage.

Gemini

Your axis of intimacy and money is being lit up, bringing two deeply intertwined themes into focus at the same time: what you share and what you value. This isn’t just about resources or relationships in isolation, but about the exchange between them where trust, vulnerability, power, and worth intersect. On an intimate level, the New Moon on 19 January will be a cosmic period of heightened awareness around emotional closeness. You may find yourself questioning where you are truly invested, and whether those bonds feel mutual, safe, and sustainable.

Cancer

A Full Moon in your sign on 3 January brings you back to yourself. It highlights your needs, your boundaries, and the ways you’ve been showing up for others, sometimes at the expense of your own inner truth. This is an opportunity to reclaim space and to see yourself clearly. What you feel now deserves to be taken seriously. Set an intention on the New Moon on 19 January as your relationship zone is getting a reset. What do you want more – or less – of in your intimate realm?

Leo

Your month isn’t going to be quiet. Social invitations are likely to arrive from every direction, filling your calendar faster than you might expect. There’s a sense of movement and connection in the air, where conversations lead to gatherings and new introductions. Some interactions may feel light and celebratory, others surprisingly meaningful. Pay attention to which spaces energise you and which simply drain your time. Discernment becomes as important as presence.

Virgo

You’ll be experiencing a lot of change in terms of your work and routines. While it may feel disruptive at first, it’s ultimately recalibrating how you move through your days. The structures you’ve relied on are being adjusted to reveal where your time and energy can be used more effectively. This can look like shifts in responsibilities, schedules, or the way your work is organised. What once felt automatic may now ask for conscious engagement.

Libra

Neptune moves into Aries on 27 January. Last spring and summer, you caught an early glimpse of how this influence begins to reshape your relationship world. That period offered a preview – subtle, confusing at times, but revealing of a new relational chapter that’s less about fantasy and more about initiation. This influence dissolves old expectations around partnership. In their place comes a different question: Who do I become when I meet another honestly, without disappearing or over-accommodating?

Scorpio

Home and belonging are opening in unexpected ways, bringing with them new doors and new faces. This is a period where your sense of where – and with whom – you belong begins to evolve beyond what has been familiar. You may find yourself entering new spaces, whether physical or emotional, that immediately feel resonant. These new faces aren’t random; they reflect parts of you that are ready to be lived, expressed, or nurtured.

Sagittarius

A new financial start is underway, marked by a renewed sense of agency around money, value, and self-worth. There’s an opportunity here to reset the tone – to move away from quiet compromises and toward clarity, structure, and intention. Alongside the potential for material growth, you’re finding your voice. Conversations around pay, pricing, or budgeting can now be approached with confidence rather than hesitation.

Capricorn

A relationship confessional may reach your door on the Full Moon on 3 January, carrying an emotional honesty that’s been building beneath the surface. Yet, to have a New Moon in your sign on 19 January carries a rare sense of alignment. This is the kind of timing that quietly affirms you’re stepping into the year on your own terms. It is a clean slate that is deeply personal – an internal permission to begin again and set intentions that reflect your current self.

Aquarius

What does your ideal working environment look like? This question, prompted by the Full Moon on 3 January, invites you to go beyond productivity and into alignment. Plus, between 23 January and the end of the month, the energy gathers strongly around your sign. When so much emphasis moves through your home terrain, the focus naturally turns inward and outward at the same time. You’re reassessing who you are becoming and what role you want to play in the wider world.

Pisces

Do you want softness or excitement, devotion or exploration, depth or lightness? With the Full Moon on 3 January, the beginning of the year is about choosing the emotional and creative climate you want to swim in. Romantically, this asks you to reflect on the quality of connection you’re calling in. When you know what you’re available for, the right dynamics find you more easily.

There’s a big difference between December and January Capricorns — here’s why https://www.russh.com/december-capricorn-vs-january-capricorn/ Sun, 21 Dec 2025 03:00:49 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=238261 Which month do you fall into?

The post There’s a big difference between December and January Capricorns — here’s why appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
As any astrology buff will tell you, the month you were born in plays a crucial role in determining your personality traits. For those who fall under the star sign Capricorn — that is, anyone born between December 22 and January 19 — this logic tells us you’re the most hardworking, practical, and fiercely ambitious of the zodiac bunch. However, as with any star sign that straddles two calendar months, there can be significant differences to those Capricorns born in December, and those born in January. Allow us to explain.

How (and why) do December and January Capricorns differ?

The concept of zodiac decans is one way to explain why those who born under the same sun sign might differ significantly. This logic denotes that the zodiac wheel comprises 360 degrees, where each of the 12 zodiac signs takes up 30 degrees on this wheel. Within the zodiac signs, there are three segments – commonly known as decans – which are made up of 10 degrees each. One degree is equivalent to one day. So, the first 10 days or degrees of a sign make up the first decan, and so on.

Following this line of thought, most December Capricorns will belong to the sign’s first decan, while those born in January will likely fall into the second or third.

Personality traits of a December Capricorn, explained

Those born in December are the first of the Capricorn season, and as such, they tend to embody the more classic qualities of the sign. Those classic traits of practicality, discipline, and goal-orientation come to mind here. Put simply, December Capricorns know exactly what they want and are willing to work tirelessly to get it. They are pragmatic and grounded, often preferring stability and structure in their personal and professional lives.

This is, in large part, because December Capricorns (or first decan Capricorns) are ruled exclusively by Saturn, which is the planet of rules and responsibilities.

Personality of a January Capricorn, explained

January Capricorns, born towards the end of the sign, are marked by a more philosophical energy. While they share many core traits with December Capricorns, they often have a deeper sense of purpose and a focus on the long term. These Capricorns are less concerned with immediate success and more focused on creating a legacy or achieving lasting impact. The zodiac embodiment of the saying, ‘short term pain, long term gain.’

January Capricorns may also tend to be more outgoing than December Capricorns, because they are co-ruled by either Venus, the planet of relationships, or Mercury, the planet of communication. The addition of these co-ruling planets can mean that January Capricorns are more laid back than their December counterparts. While they’re still definitely driven by structure, they can be less stringently focused on success – at least a little.

The summer solstice is coming – here’s what it means for you https://www.russh.com/summer-solstice/ Thu, 18 Dec 2025 05:00:39 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=174955 Here's everything you need to know about the solar event and how you can make the most of it.

The post The summer solstice is coming – here’s what it means for you appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
At this point in the year, the summer heat is well and truly upon us. Now, as the summer solstice approaches – on Monday 22 December 2025 – we wanted to break down what it means.

Despite being an annual event, many of us only loosely understand what the phenomenon is. Yes, it’s the longest day of the year, but why? Is it the same as midsummer? We’re answering these questions and more on the 2025 summer solstice, below.

What is the summer solstice?

The summer solstice is a cosmic milestone, marking the Earth’s tilt at its most dramatic angle towards the Sun — the very force that defines our seasons.

For those of us in Australia, this moment occurs when the Sun’s path through the sky hits its peak, gifting us with the most daylight hours of any day in the whole year. It’s not just the longest day, but also the brightest, a celebration of light in its fullest form. Typically, the summer solstice lands on December 22, though it can shift between December 21–23. In 2024 for example, it was on 21 December. This year, it will officially arrive at Monday 22 December 2024 at exactly 2:03am AEDT.

Where you live determines how much daylight you’ll soak in. In Hobart, the Sun will rise at 5:28am and set at 8:49 pm, making for a whopping 15 hours and 21 minutes of sunlight. In Sydney, the day is a little shorter but no less luminous, with the Sun rising at 5:41am and setting at 8:06pm — 14 hours and 23 minutes of daylight bliss. While it may feel like time has expanded, rest assured there are still only 24 hours in the day — it’s just that more of them are drenched in sunlight.

Does this make it the warmest day in the year?

Unlike the winter solstice, which isn’t the coldest day of the year, the summer solstice plays by different rules. Australia’s peak heat doesn’t arrive on cue.

In the tropical north, the hottest days usually hit in October or November, before the wet season rolls in. Further south, the heat lingers, building momentum into December and peaking in January. For southern Australia, it’s a slow burn — the hottest days and nights typically land weeks after the solstice, as summer’s grip tightens. It’s nature’s way of keeping us guessing, with the north heating up early and the south saving its sizzle for later.

How to make the most of the 2025 summer solstice

The summer solstice is more than just the longest day of the year — it’s a cosmic call to realign, re-centre, and release.

Since ancient times, it’s been a moment of ritual and reverence, marking what was once considered the height of summer. Pop culture gave it a sinister twist with A24’s Midsommar (but maybe skip the maypole dance). Meanwhile, crowds still flock to Stonehenge, where modern-day druids gather to honour the power of the Sun.

With light at its peak, the solstice invites us to celebrate brightness before the slow descent into darkness. Fire is a symbolic force here — a tool for cleansing, purifying, and letting go of what no longer serves us. Around the world, flames are lit in ceremonies to burn away the past, and you can do the same at home. Light a candle, reflect on the year that’s been, and meditate on what’s next. With New Year’s Eve on the horizon, it’s the perfect moment to hit reset and step boldly into the light of new beginnings.

Is the summer solstice the same as midsummer?

Is it the start of summer or midsummer? The summer solstice manages to be both — and neither. While many mark it as the official first day of astronomical summer, others see it as midsummer, a nod to ancient celebrations of light at its peak. The confusion isn’t new. Traditionally, the solstice marks the year’s longest day, while midsummer refers to the festivals and rituals that bloom around it. Rooted in both pagan and Christian customs, these celebrations honour the power of the Sun and the turning of the seasons. Call it what you like — either way, it’s a moment to revel in the magic of the light.

How does this change sunrise and sunset times?

Thanks to the Earth’s tilted axis, time doesn’t tick as neatly as you might think. This wobble creates a gap between solar time and mean time — sometimes by several minutes, according to Geoscience Australia. Around the summer solstice, this cosmic quirk makes the Sun’s movement appear slower than usual. The result? The earliest sunrise actually happens before the solstice, throwing our expectations off track. It’s a subtle reminder that, even in nature, time is never quite as simple as it seems.

What’s the difference between the solstice and equinox?

Solstice or equinox? The clue’s in the name. While a solstice marks the Earth’s tilt at its most extreme, pointing us toward or away from the Sun, an equinox is a moment of balance — when day and night stand at near-equal length. Equinoxes happen twice a year, in autumn and spring, offering a brief cosmic equilibrium. If you’re in Australia, the next equinox will arrive on March 21, 2024. So, while solstices are all about extremes, equinoxes remind us that sometimes, balance is everything.

Now that we’ve had the shortest day of the year, when is the longest?

Just as summer has its solstice, so does winter — and for those in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s happening right now (while we down in Australia sweat it out). For Aussies, the winter solstice hits in June between 21-23. It’s the shortest day and longest night of the year, a moment to lean into stillness and reflect before the slow return of the light.

Watch out – these star signs are officially entering their villain era in 2026 https://www.russh.com/star-signs-entering-villain-era-2026/ Wed, 17 Dec 2025 02:30:45 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=274844 Did your zodiac sign make the list?

The post Watch out – these star signs are officially entering their villain era in 2026 appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
If you’re finding yourself at the end of this year thinking, ‘well thank god that’s over’, you’re not the only one leaving 2025 feeling like their head and heart have been put through the wringer. As a starting point, we lived through 12 retrogrades this year – which is two more than we experienced in 2024 – planetary shifts saw us transition from slower Earth/Water energy into Fire/Air ideas, and to top it all off, the world outside of astrology felt like true chaos, too. So, if you have plans to enter your villain era in 2026, we wouldn’t blame you – but what if we told you there are four key signs that are definitely about to enter a three-year chapter of transformation and owning of power?

Thanks to Saturn moving into Aries in 14 February 2026 to 13 April 2028, all star signs, but especially Aries, Libra, Capricorn and Cancer are being asked to ‘grow up’ across various areas of your life and finally set the boundaries you should have put in place years ago. This new villain era is all about taking the time to rebuild and become the person you were always meant to be – without distractions and with complete claiming of your power. By the end of this transit, you wont even be able recognise yourself.

Below, we’re sharing how this new lifestyle change will be felt by the most impacted signs.

Aries

This transition will be a big one for you Aries. With Saturn moving into your sign directly, it means that of all the signs, you will be hit the hardest. If you want to know exactly what’s about to change, this transit will encourage you to become less impulsive and more strategic. You’ll notice that you will be reacting less and responding more intentionally – recognising that not everything or everyone deserves your energy. The boundaries you will set will make it clear that moving forward, there is no such thing as second chances with you Aries and you’ll have no tolerance for those who show their true colours.

Libra

Libra, don’t say we didn’t warn you. This next chapter of your life is going to be brutal, but we think you know that this villain era of yours is majorly overdue. Most importantly, many of your relationships – both romantic and platonic – will be impacted, but it won’t all be negative. Where some partnerships will end, new and better ones will begin. The most important takeaway from this transit is that you will realise you no longer need someone else to complete you.

Capricorn

As mentioned earlier, this three-year transit will impact each sign in different areas of their lives, and for you Capricorn, it will tackle your home and family life. This is the time to finally address and take control of the family dynamics that no longer speak to you – disconnecting yourself from the behaviours of others and refusing to pass these same behaviours on. This may look like moving away from your hometown or certain family members, and redefining what home means for you.

Cancer

Last, but not least, Cancer. Your villain era is all about YOU – prioritising your ambitions, wants and emotional needs above all and anyone else. Some might see it as selfish, but don’t let their own projections sway your focus. Once you stop asking for permission and detach from guilt, you won’t be able to recognise yourself.

The post The New Moon in Sagittarius wants you to dream bigger appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
Our final New Moon of 2025 arrives on Saturday 20 December. Officially, it fades from its final waning crescent and turns new at exactly 12:43pm, and that evening, the Moon will be absent from the sky.

It just so happens that this New Moon falls serendipitously in the final few degrees of Sagittarius; a placement that offers an optimistic reset and a prime opportunity for intention setting as we approach the new year. It might just be the perfect moment to manifest your dreams into reality. Here’s what you need to know.

What to expect from the New Moon in Sagittarius

New Moons are an emotional refresh. As the energetic low and close of the Moon Cycle, this is a point of calm and cleanse. At the New Moon, we are encouraged to let go of the things that don’t serve us, so we can enter the next lunar period renewed. In a way, it’s a personal check-point; a moment for you to look inward and assess where you are and recalibrate if you need to. This is why the New Moon is considered the most potent time during the Moon Cycle to manifest. Think of it as planting seeds in the spring, so they can bear fruit and be harvested in the summer.

This New Moon brings us possibility, passion and a future-facing attitude. Here, we are invited to think about what could be, rather than limiting ourselves to what is. This is moment to open your mind and allow the universe to show you the endless possibilities ahead. They’re there, waiting to be seen, but only if you choose to look down the path that has been illuminated for us.

The Moon will not be the only celestial body lit up by the optimism of Sagittarius. Venus, Mercury and the Sun are all clustered in the sign of the archer. These placements embolden us to go further, encouraging us to think honestly and passionately about what we truly want in our love lives. Compromising on your aspirations feels empty, instead, expect more. You might be surprised about what comes back to you when you allow your expectations to expand. More broadly, we’re inspired to seek a more meaningful and positive way to exist within ourselves. Internal criticism and berating oneself is neither helpful, nor contributes toward your best self. Instead we’re asked to move beyond this and think about the bigger picture.

The New Moon in Sagittarius will no longer allow you to view stagnation as “comfortable”. Only those things that feel meaningful can offer true comfort from now on. The energy is expansive, asking you to live your life to its fullest and best potential. Sagittarius never was one to value security over new experiences. Do not limit yourself, take a bold leap instead. When you shoot for the Moon, even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.

How to use this New Moon to manifest for 2026

A New Moon in Sagittarius is a particularly useful combination for intention setting and manifestation.

Of course, New Moons are always considered the most potent point during the lunar cycle to engage in manifestations. But the combination of this event falling in Sagittarius makes it particularly auspicious. As a Fire sign, Sagittarius is action driven. An eternal and radical optimist, this sign imbues everything around it with positive energy. It means that this Sagittarius New Moon can make even the biggest dreams feel achievable. It is the perfect time to breathe new energy into any area of your life that may feel stagnant.

“The Sagittarius New Moon is associated with vision, expansion, and possibility, which makes it ideal for deciding what you want from a new year,” says Echo, tarot reader on Tarotap.

So how can you set yourself up for the most success and how do you actually manifest? These are some steps shared with us by energy healer Chala Guzel.

Cleanse yourself.Take a bath with salts, go for an ocean swim or just simply take a shower. This can help to rid any negative energy.Cleanse your space. You can do this by lighting a sage bundle and smoking or smudging the area around you.Clear your mind. You can meditate, listen to music or just take a moment to sit quietly in your cleared, sacred area. Focus on being present and let go of the errant thoughts spinning through your mind. Spend a few moments thinking about what you want to release, and what you want to call in.Write your goals or manifestations.Be clear. Think about what you want to accomplish, what you want to focus on, what your intentions are, what you want to show up, and what steps you plan to take.

The post These zodiac signs are entering their healing era in 2026 appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
If the past year has felt like emotional boot camp, you’re not imagining it. The astrology of 2026 marks a collective turning point – less about surviving and more about integrating, healing, and rebuilding from a place of truth. With Saturn and Neptune shifting into Aries, Uranus settling into Gemini, and the nodal axis activating Leo and Aquarius, several zodiac signs are stepping into what can only be described as their healing era.

But – we’re sorry to report – healing doesn’t always look soft. Sometimes it looks like boundaries, self-trust, and choosing differently. And that’s a good thing. Let’s break down the signs most impacted.

1. Aries: Learning how to slow down and lead yourself

For Aries, 2026 is about growing up emotionally and energetically — not in a boring way, but in a powerful one. Saturn moving back into your sign asks you to stop rushing and start being intentional. Stop doom scrolling on your phone. Instead of acting on impulse, you’re learning to pause and ask: is this actually good for me long-term?

Neptune adds a deeper layer by helping you understand why you want what you want. Together, these planets will push you to build a life that matches your values, not just your drive. In real life, this can look like committing to goals you actually care about, setting better boundaries with your time, and trusting yourself to follow through. The healing comes from finally becoming someone you can rely on.

2. Taurus: Learning to value yourself without needing permission

Taurus has been through years of change that may have shaken your confidence and sense of identity. In 2026, things begin to settle – but in a way that asks you to stand on your own feet emotionally.

The focus now is self-worth. Instead of looking for reassurance from partners, friends, or society, you’re learning to approve of your own choices first. This might show up as changing how you dress, live, love, or work – even if others don’t immediately understand it.

Venus retrogrades help you look closely at relationships and values that no longer fit who you are now. Healing here means choosing what feels true over what feels safe. Even when that choice feels unfamiliar at first.

3. Cancer: Learning how to emotionally take care of yourself

For Cancer, 2026 is about deep emotional repair. You’re learning what actually makes you feel safe and supported — not just temporarily comforted.

Jupiter’s time in your sign has shown you where you’ve been over-giving or neglecting yourself. Now, the focus shifts to meeting your own emotional needs instead of expecting others to do it for you.

In everyday life, this might look like responding more calmly instead of reacting emotionally, or realising you don’t need to control situations to feel secure – maybe it’s even taking up a new habit, like journaling to combat those habits. Healing comes from knowing you can take care of yourself, no matter what’s happening around you.

4. Leo: Letting go of people-pleasing and choosing joy

Leo’s healing in 2026 is about being yourself without needing applause. You may realise that some versions of yourself were built around being liked, admired, or approved of — and those versions are starting to fall away.

This year asks you to reconnect with what genuinely makes you happy, playful, and inspired. That might mean creating, loving, or expressing yourself in ways that don’t earn instant validation — and being okay with that.

Healing looks like enjoying life again just because it feels good, not because someone is watching. You’re learning that you don’t have to perform to deserve joy.

5. Scorpio: Learning when to hold on and when to let go

Scorpio’s healing centres around emotional release and honesty. You’re becoming more aware of where you hold emotional weight that no longer serves you — especially around trust, control, and belonging.

Pluto pushes you to look closely at how power works in your relationships and communities. Are you staying quiet to feel safe? Are you holding onto pain because it feels familiar?

Retrogrades give you chances to talk about things you once buried or avoided. Healing comes from allowing yourself to be seen, supported, and emotionally lighter — without feeling weak for it.

6. Pisces: Turning insight into real-world change

Pisces experiences a huge shift in 2026. After years of confusion, emotional overwhelm, or feeling lost, things finally start to make sense.

With major planets leaving your sign, the fog clears. You’re learning how to bring your dreams into reality instead of escaping into them. This might mean creating structure, setting boundaries, or finally taking action on something you’ve imagined for years.

Healing comes from grounding yourself — realizing you can be both spiritual and practical. You start trusting your clarity and understanding what is yours to carry, and what is not.

Exactly what career you should pursue, according to your star sign https://www.russh.com/career-according-to-star-sign/ Sun, 14 Dec 2025 03:00:12 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=235610 From lawyer to landscaper, and everything in between.

The post Exactly what career you should pursue, according to your star sign appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
Regardless of what field you work in, it’s likely you’ve spent a decent chunk of your adulthood contemplating your next career move. In fact, from the moment we left high school, more brain space than we’d like to admit has been dedicated to interviews, applications, emails, meetings, promotions – you name it. And with so much of our time spent hard at work, it’s only natural to wonder if you’re pursuing the right field.

But what if the answer to your career woes was written in the stars? Luckily, that’s where we come in. Here at RUSSH, we’re star sign-devotees; frequently consulting our horoscopes for clues to a host of dilemmas, from how to style our interiors, to which internet hottie we’d be most compatible with. It makes sense, then, that our star signs could tell us a thing or two about the perfect profession for us. So without further ado, we consulted the stars to find the perfect career for each star sign. See yours below.

Capricorn

Ideal career: investment banker

Capricorns work hard and play hard, so they’d thrive in the high-paced environment of a financial institution. Persistent, ambitious, and practical, Capricorn’s biggest thrill is a job well done, whether that comes in the form of a neatly-organised inbox, or nailing a deal with a potential investor.

Aquarius

Ideal career: cosmologist

Aquariuses are obsessed with the esoteric, and could spend hours getting lost in a niche theory or idea. That’s why they’d thrive in a field like cosmology, where they’d be surrounded by similar free-thinkers.

Pisces

Ideal career: artist

Pisces have creativity in spades, so it makes sense that they’d be drawn to the art world. With super-charged emotions and keen intuition, mediums like painting and sculpture make the perfect platform for Pisces to let their creative juices flow.

Aries

Idea career: lawyer

If Aries can find something they’re passionate about, they’re practically unstoppable, which is why they make excellent lawyers. Stubborn, adept at taking charge, and not afraid of a few risks, Aries is one sign we’d definitely want on our side in a court case.

Taurus

Ideal career: landscaper

The calmest, most dependable sign of the zodiac bunch, Tauruses are happiest working independently—particularly if the task at hand involves something aesthetically pleasing. It’s why this sign would make a world-class landscaper or botanist. Leave them alone with your garden and expect to return to a masterpiece of greenery.

Gemini

Ideal career: influencer

If one sign was going to find fame online, it was bound to be Gemini. Social butterflies at their core, Geminis have a charisma that’s hard to ignore, making them natural-born influencers. If people are going to follow you anyway, you might as well get paid for it, we say!

Cancer

Ideal career: psychologist

It takes a certain type of person to empathise with people’s problems day in, day out, and Cancers certainly fit the bill. Intuitive, protective, and fiercely loyal, they’ll listen to the same problem over and over and always find a new way to sympathise.

Leo

Ideal career: actor

Some signs are drawn to the spotlight, and Leo is certainly one of them. Not only are they comfortable being the centre of attention, but their confidence, generosity and radiant charisma makes them impossible to look away from — the perfect recipe for an actor, if you ask us.

Virgo

Ideal career: librarian

Perfectionists at their core, there’s few things more satisfying to a Virgo than a perfectly functioning filing system. Where better to channel their critical, analytical brains than in the quiet halls of a library? Not only can they put their organisational skills to work, but they’ll also have plenty of space to work independently.

Libra

Ideal career: HR

Librans are inherently charming, so it makes sense that they’d feel fulfilled working with people. This, coupled with their balanced approach to life, makes them perfectly primed for a role in HR, where they can put their diplomatic spirit and unbridled empathy to good use.

Scorpio

Ideal career: CEO

Passionate and ambitious, Scorpio’s are usually a few steps ahead of the pack, making them natural-born leaders and perfectly primed for a high flying position like CEO. Just as importantly, they’ve also got charm and magnetism down pat—ideal traits for those in leadership roles.

Sagittarius

Ideal career: event planner

Sagittarians are fairly unflappable. Curious and unafraid of change, it’s this cool-headedness that makes them most suited to a job like event planning, where things can go awry at a moment’s notice. They’re also aspirational, which means they have a big vision for things and work hard to bring it to life—exactly what you want when planning an event like a wedding.

Which hobby you should take up in 2026 according to your star sign https://www.russh.com/hobby-for-your-star-sign/ Wed, 10 Dec 2025 05:00:14 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=274088 Let the stars be your guide.

The post Which hobby you should take up in 2026 according to your star sign appeared first on RUSSH.

Every year brings a fresh wave of reinvention, and 2026 is shaping up to be the era of intentional hobbies.

We’re talking interests that soothe, challenge, ground and occasionally send you into a full-blown personality arc. Whether you’re craving adrenaline, inner peace, creative release or a touch of mysticism, the stars might already be pointing you in the right direction.

Astrology has long been our guide for love, career and chaos – so why not let it choose your next obsession too? From climbing walls to pulling tarot cards, these hobbies aren’t random; they’re written in cosmic shorthand, perfectly suited to each sign’s natural traits (yes, even your red flags).

Aries: rock climbing

Photographs via @min_zzzza

Let’s be real, Aries needs a hobby that feels like a dare. Rock climbing gives you the adrenaline rush, the competition (even if it’s just with yourself), and the chance to literally scale new heights. Try not to race everyone to the top… but also, who are we kidding?

Taurus: hiking

Photographs via @chloefrater

Taurus loves slow progress, good views, and snacks — hiking ticks every box. You get nature, peace, and a sense of accomplishment without having to sprint anywhere. Plus, you’ll absolutely pack the best trail food.

Gemini: reading

Photographs via @gremlita

Gemini already talks a mile a minute, so why not do read a mile a minute too? This hobby feeds your curiosity, your social side, and your love of showing off just a little. It’s also pretty damn theraputic. We expect you to casually drop your Goodreads stats into every conversation.

Cancer: journaling

Photography via @iwanacristal

Cancer feels everything, so journaling becomes your emotional safe space. The art of journaling is where you can process moods, memories, and late-night overthinking in peace. Bonus: it’s cheaper than therapy and way less judgy.

Leo: learning an instrument

Photographs via @devonross_

Leo with a guitar, piano, or mic in hand? Completely inevitable. You don’t just want a hobby — you want a stage. Whether it’s for two people or twenty, you’ll be the star (what’s new) – a perfect counterpart to your Leo soul.

Virgo: baking

Photography via @somethingsiliketocook

Baking speaks directly to Virgo’s soul: precise measurements, quiet focus, and a perfectly golden finish. You’ll pretend it’s “just a hobby,” but we all know you’re secretly aiming for pastry-perfection. Also, everyone benefits from your stress baking.

Libra: yoga

Photographs via @saritcohen_

Libra craves balance — emotionally, mentally, and aesthetically — so yoga feels like your aesthetic soul mate. It’s calming, there are cute outfits to wear, and you’ll be racing toward inner peace all in one go. Even your downward dog somehow looks elegant.

Scorpio: self-defence classes

Photographs via @kayinhk23

Scorpio already has main-character energy, now you’re just adding combat skills. This hobby lets you channel intensity, build power, and satisfy that desire to feel dangerous. Nobody needs to know how prepared you really are.

Sagittarius: tarot

Photographs via @trevor.ballin

Sagittarius loves the unknown, the spiritual, and a little chaos — tarot is a perfect match. You’ll treat tarot card readings like an adventure rather than a rulebook. The cards may guide you, but you’ll still do whatever you want.

Capricorn: gardening

Photographs via @ellies.table

Capricorn taking responsibility for and maintaining things? Of course. Gardening feeds your patience, discipline, and need to see real results from hard work. You’ll go from “just one plant” to running a full backyard operation.

Aquarius: stargazing

Photographs via @emilykrogsboel

Aquarius already lives half in this world and half in the future — staring into space just makes sense. Stargazing feeds your love of the strange, the cosmic, and the big questions no one else is asking. You’ll turn a casual night sky into an existential experience.

Pisces: pottery

Photographs via @lollylollyceramics

Pisces and pottery is pure dreamer energy. Working with clay lets you drift, create, and turn feelings into something real and tactile. Plus, getting messy in the process is oddly therapeutic for your soft little soul.

When are all the solar eclipses visible in Australia? https://www.russh.com/every-solar-eclipse-visible-in-australia/ Tue, 09 Dec 2025 23:41:38 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=258097 And what do they mean astrologically?

The post When are all the solar eclipses visible in Australia? appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
Australia, with its vast open skies and minimal light pollution in many regions, offers a prime vantage point for celestial events – and none more awe-inspiring than a solar eclipse.

Over the coming decades, the continent will be treated to several solar eclipses, including a handful of total and annular ones that promise to darken the midday sun and mesmerise skywatchers across the nation. Below, all the details you need to catch them.

When is the next solar eclipse?

The most recent was a partial solar eclipse occurring on 22 September, 2025. It was be visible from Australia’s east coast, New Zealand, and parts of Antarctica. It began at 3:29am AEST, before reaching its peak at 5:41am AEST, and concluding at around 7:53am AEST.

You might have heard talk of a solar eclipse taking place on August 2, 2027. This one is special because it will plunge certain cities into complete darkness for six minutes — one of the longest in recent history. Unfortunately, it won’t actually be visible in Australia – if you do want to see it, you’ll need to travel to parts of North Africa, the Middle East and southern Europe.

The next total solar eclipse that will be visible in Australia will occur on 22 July 2028, a rare and majestic event that will sweep across the heart of the country. Beginning in the Indian Ocean, its path will cross through the Northern Territory, western Queensland, and New South Wales before exiting the eastern coast. Sydney will witness a breathtaking near-total eclipse – an astronomical event not to be missed.

For Sydney (and much of Australia), this eclipse will be visible just before sunset (around 3:45pm and being at its heigh around 4:30pm AEST), adding symbolic weight to the end of a cycle.

Sun and Moon Sign: Cancer (Rules home, family, emotional security, and heritage. Themes around these may be activated.)Approximate degree: 29° Cancer (A critical or ‘anaretic’ degree indicating powerful, karmic, and sometimes intense transitions.)Astrological type: Total Solar Eclipse (New Moon)What house will it be in? The house placement depends on your exact birth chart.

And after that?

Just over two years later, on 25 November 2030, another total solar eclipse (Sagittarius, approximately 2°) will be visible from central Australia. While its path is narrower and more isolated, enthusiasts in Western Australia and parts of South Australia will still have the opportunity to experience a deep partial eclipse.

A particularly unique event will follow on 21 May 2031 (approximately 0° Gemini), when an annular solar eclipse will be visible. Unlike a total eclipse, this phenomenon occurs when the Moon is too far from Earth to completely cover the Sun, leaving a dramatic “ring of fire” in the sky.

Further ahead, on 14 October 2042 (approximately 21° Libra), Australia will witness its next annular eclipse – a 17-year wait that underscores the rarity of such cosmic alignments.

Upcoming solar eclipses visible in Australia:

22 July 2028 – Total Solar Eclipse25 November 2030 – Total Solar Eclipse21 May 2031 – Annular Solar Eclipse14 October 2042 – Annular Solar Eclipse

What does a solar eclipse mean astrologically?

Astrologically, a solar eclipse signifies powerful new beginnings and sudden revelations that can redirect your life path. It often brings hidden truths to light, prompting deep personal transformation or shifts in perspective.

The house and sign where the eclipse falls in your birth chart indicate the area of life most affected. Solar eclipses occur during a new moon when the Sun and Moon align with the lunar nodes – points tied to destiny and karmic lessons. Because of this, eclipses are often seen as cosmic catalysts, accelerating events that align you with your soul’s greater purpose.
