PSA music festival goers: the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has officially unveiled its 2026 lineup, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the most eclectic editions yet. Festival organisers announced today exactly who you can expect to bring to life the grassy fields of Indio. From pop stars to secret listings, get all the details below…

Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G will headline the two-weekend event, alongside powerhouse producer Anyma.

Carpenter, who first stunned Coachella crowds in 2024, is stepping into full headliner status for the first time. Bieber, long rumored to take the stage, will finally mark his return to the festival spotlight. Karol G’s top billing continues the wave of Latin stars commanding global stages, while Anyma brings a high-concept electronic edge to the lineup.

Beyond the headliners, the festival poster is stacked. Indie icons The Strokes, art-rock legend David Byrne, and punk trailblazer Iggy Pop are on the bill, alongside younger chart-toppers like Addison Rae, Sexyy Redd, and Teddy Swims. Dance fans can look forward to sets from Kaskade, Disclosure, and Major Lazer, while cult favorites like Devo, Nine Inch Nails, and FKA Twigs round out the genre-spanning roster.

Wait, is Radiohead playing a secret gig?

In a surprise twist, the lineup also teases “The Bunker Debut of Radiohead Kid A Mnesia,” a cryptic nod that has fans buzzing. Radiohead recently announced a European tour, but this suggests a special one-off moment unique to Coachella.

When and where is Coachella 2026?

Held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Coachella will return for two weekends: 10–12 April and 17–19 April 2026

When are tickets on sale?

Tickets going on sale this Thursday at 4 am AEST (11am Friday PDT). You can register for access to ticket sales immediately on the Coachella webstie, and if past years are any indication, the frenzy for passes will be intense.

About Coachella

Coachella has been running since 1999 and has ballooned into one of the most influential music festivals in the world, drawing hundreds of thousands of fans each April. Last year, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott headlined, setting a high bar that 2026 seems eager to clear.

As always, the lineup reveal is just the beginning. With Stagecoach—the country festival hosted the following weekend—still to announce its performers, Indio is once again gearing up to be the epicenter of live music next spring.

Coachella – whether you love it or think it has lost its magic – has been hot on everyone’s lips these last few weeks. From a plethora of surprise guest appearances like Billie Eilish at Lana Del Ray, or A$AP Rocky at Tyler the Creator, to the inevitable fashions on the fields, the music and arts festival had us in its usual grip hold online.

Australian singer Brooke Addamo, also known as the musician Owl Eyes, was on the ground at Coachella Valley for their annual music and arts festival over the last two weeks, performing with Aussie electronic music duo Flight Facilities and otherwise enjoying the Californian desert – from Palm Springs to Joshua Tree.

In between busy sets at the festival, where Addamo donned sparkling Rabanne stage outfits, and recovering by the pool, coffee in hand, she sent RUSSH some postcards of all her trip highlights. While we’re still reeling from a series of music festival cancellations over on our shores, we’re living vicariously through Addamo’s colourful lens…

Landing in the desert, anticipation high. Conversations filling the air on the tarmac, buzzing about which bands they’ll be catching. As we drive through Palm Springs – where every day is sunny – we pass Frank Sinatra drive and I fantasise about rat pack and all the trouble that would have been.

Show morning. Face mask. Coffee in bed. An empty festival post sound check getting to walk through the grounds.
The calm before the storm.

Laying out some Rabanne options.

Artist catering, and obligatory post-Coachella In&Out.

Show time!

Recovery afternoons by the pool. Dreamy landscapes everywhere you look.

Chaos in between sets. Feeling very lucky to have witnessed Blurs last show (apparently).

A detour through Joshua Tree on our way home. Giving the Rabanne boots a desert work out.

Thank you Coachella. Until next time x

Coachella weekend one has just concluded in a blaze of glory. With electrifying sets from Grimes, Lana Del Rey and Gwen Stefani led No Doubt, there were plenty of moments of pop culture gold to be mined from one week alone. If you weren’t on standby all weekend to round up any of the most captivating showings, we’ve got you covered.

From mic malfunctions to the ready to wear creations (hello, bespoke Dolce and Gabbana on miss Del Rey!), there were moments aplenty which had us rocking on the edge of our seats. The good, the bad and the downright ludicrous came together in one maelstrom of affairs. At the epicentre of festival performance, here’s what you missed.

New and Old with No Doubt and Olivia Rodrigo

This set showed us that being a punk rocker is indefatigable. The long-awaited return of No Doubt was amplified by surprise guest Olivia Rodrigo. A surprise duet of ‘Return of Saturn’ between Gwen Stefani and the budding starlet proceeded, with Rodrigo herself adorned in some I <3 No Doubt fan merch.

Grimes faces hurdles

Technical difficulties swarmed our favourite futuristic singer as her performance on the Sahara Stage left fans mired in confusion. Tempo asymmetries, lag in track buildup and unmastered mixes all contributed to the lacking performance. Reception to the mix-up has varied, but ardent fans have called for leniency and a sensitive hand in dealing with the incident at large. Check out her twitter explainer below.

I want to apologize for the technical issues with the show tonight. I wanted to come back rly strong and usually I always handle every aspect of my show myself – to save time this was one of the first times I’ve outsourced essential things like rekordbox bpm’s and letting…

Has Lana died for your sins?

Now, onto the crème de la crème of the evening. Ten years following her first Coachella appearance, Elizabeth Woolridge Grant is back as a heavyweight contender. This time she’s baying for blood. In the lead-up to her performance, a giant billboard was unmasked. The ad questioning: Who died for your sins? was a direct snub at a snub of her now notorious SNL performance in 2o12. With a set that had pyrotechnic effects, fan dance, and an entrance that involved a fleet of motorcycles, Lana has cemented her rightful place as gangster princess of pop stardom once and for all.

Lana again, but this time with Billie

In a move that united the warring factions of Millennials and Generation Z, Lana Del Rey ushered out Billie Eilish for a very special rendition of Video Games and Ocean Eyes. Tears were shed. Lives were changed – namely ours.

No Doubt is reforming for Coachella this weekend, so we’re looking back at Gwen Stefani’s best style moments https://www.russh.com/gwen-stefani-style-file/ Wed, 10 Apr 2024 05:00:42 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=211034 Her fits go B-A-N-A-N-A-S.

The post No Doubt is reforming for Coachella this weekend, so we’re looking back at Gwen Stefani’s best style moments appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
Let’s be real: when it comes to style, Gwen Stefani has always been on pulse. She’s been a Westwood muse, a tongue-popping savant as the front woman of No Doubt, and a dueller of Akon on Sweet Escape – a tune so iconic it is only eclipsed by Stefani’s bouffant-style curled bang that she parades in the music video.

Now, looking back on two or so decades of musical “F*ck you, I’m a girl!” chants, (which propelled Just A Girl back into action on TikTok) she’s back at the centre of musical life: as a headliner of Coachella 2024 over the next two weekends. In preparation of her return to the main stage, we’ve put the best of the best of Gwen together for your nostalgia-brimmed pleasure.

The singer captured national attention with her pop rock ska punk approach. Paired with a grunge fashion sensibility, her high-pop looks fuse her gutsy persona with an undeniably femme counterpart. Breaking onto the scene solo with Love Angel Music Baby, the singer’s initial foray into the world of bubblegum pink pop was one mired in derision over her presentation. Society wasn’t ready for Stefani’s vision: to christen the Y2k stylings of the world as we know it with pomp.

However, when Stefani does fashion right she’s a quintessential part of our 90s grunge / punk mood boarding. There’s trucker hats for every Von Dutch babe. No Doubt groupies can enjoy asymmetrical crop tops and cargos paired erratically over fishnets. For the festival inclined, there’s plenty of midriff-baring to go around. With the 90s and Y2K fashion revivals happening now – Stefani’s personal style still feels impossibly current.

This is not to say that she hasn’t had her errant method-dressing moments of the past – scan past her entire catalogue of looks from the early noughties and you will often find our Harajuki Girl dressed, well, exactly as she self-titled.

My personal favourite look off of her wrap sheet is found in the Rich Girl music video from 2004. Stefani is a pirate vixen in black lace capris and a hefty bandana, swinging from an over-sized anchor with Jean Paul Gaultier-remniscient nautical sleeves. There are black pearls studded in her hair, which is a touch brighter peroxide blonde than my own. It’s everything tough and sweet. It’s essential Gwen Stefani.

Below, we round up some of our favourite Gwen Stefani style moments from the 90s and early 2000s…

Coachella weekend is coming in hot in 2024, and the all-star lineup has just dropped on the music festival’s Instagram today. While there are plenty of expected names – like Lana Del Rey and Tyler, The Creator – there are also plenty of unexpected ones. Nineties kids will be thrilled to see the addition of bands like Blur and Deftones, but what really caught our eye (and seemingly, the attention of the internet) was the announcement that No Doubt would be reforming for the occasion.

Here’s everything we know about the festival lineup so far.

Who is headlining Coachella 2024?

Coachella have called in the big guns for their three weekender headliners. On Friday night we have Americana songstress Lana Del Rey taking up the torch, followed by rapper-come-creative-multi-hyphenate Tyler, The Creator on Saturday night. Tyler then passes the baton to singer Doja Cat to close things out on Sunday evening.

No Doubt were announced separately on the poster, so while we’re sure they’re getting a good time slot, we can’t be certain just yet when exactly they will be expected to play (or whether they will be playing both weekends).

Who else is on the Coachella 2024 full lineup?

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Coachella (@coachella)

The Friday lineup includes Del Rey, Deftones, Peggy Gou, Sabrina Carpenter, Faye Webster, Tinashe, Suki Waterhouse (freshly a mother we assume by April?), The Japanese House, and The Beths.

The Saturday lineup includes Tyler, Blur, Jungle, Jon Batiste, The Drums, Kevin Abstract (rip BROCKHAMPTON), bar italia, and Saint Levant.

Sunday will feature Doja, Jhene Aiko, Khruangbin, Lil Yachty, Renee Rapp (our Mean Girls queen bee), Taking Back Sunday, and Flight Facilities (repping the Australians).

When and where is Coachella 2024 being held?

As is usual, Coachella 2024 will takes place in Indio, California across two weekends: April 12-14 and 19-21.

For the Type-A planners amongst us, it’s time to whip out your nearest diary organiser, or create the calendar event to distribute to the friendship group – Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will be returning to Indio, California across two weekends in mid-April next year. The festival organisers confirmed the dates have officially been set for the weekends of April 12-14 and April 19-21. Which means there’s plenty of time to rally the troops, dust off the cowboy boots, relocate your glitter tubes and thrift a couple of desert-friendly lewks for the occasion (which, let’s face it, is just as much about the fashions on the field these days as it is about the music and arts).

Organisers have also confirmed that the festival will take place at its usual locale, the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.

If this year’s event is anything to go by, you never know what to expect from a Coachella weekend – from Labrinth bringing out Zendaya during his set for a duet of I’m Tired and Rosalía’s MOTOCHELLA takeover, to Frank Ocean’s polarising first weekend set, and the surprise headlining trio of Skrillex, Four Tet and Fred Again for weekend two – it’s simply the music event of the year, and one you really don’t want to miss.

Who is playing at Coachella 2024?

The lineup for 2024 hasn’t been announced yet, but with tickets expected to be on sale for the event as early as this month, we’re expecting an announcement won’t be too far off.

When can I buy tickets to Coachella 2024?

You can register now to access advance ticket sales for next year’s festival, which will be available to purchase as early as this Friday, 16 June from 11am PST. Tier 1 general admission pass prices will start at $500 a pop – and VIP passes will cost you around double that.

A round up of our favourite looks from weekend one of Coachella https://www.russh.com/best-coachella-looks-2023/ Mon, 17 Apr 2023 04:00:23 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=182595 Admit it, you're just as excited to see the outfits as you are to hear the sets. So, we've compiled our favourite looks from weekend one.

The post A round up of our favourite looks from weekend one of Coachella appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
Weekend one of Coachella Music and Arts Festival is in full swing right now, and while the festival may at its heart still be about music and arts (we are just as excited as you are for BLACKPINK and Frank Ocean), it has also become something of an unofficial fashion summit, as much about the outfit stylings we see on and off the stages. Our social media feeds are brimming with perfectly performed iPhone photoshoots in barely-there bohemian getups, outfits planned for months to get that candid (but not really) shot.

And just like we had the Kate Moss‘ and Sienna Miller’s of Glastonbury, popularising now ubiquitous festival garb like the humble Wellington boot, we have our Vanessa Hudgens’ and Paris Hilton’s of Coachella Valley, attendees pioneering what we consider to be ‘festival fashion’ each season – from flower crowns to crochet pants to face glitter and denim cutoffs. After a pandemic-induced break, Coachella was pretty quick to get back on its feet last year, and is proving this year that it’s once again ready to put on a world-class event.

So, while we’re tuning into that Coachella livestream to catch our favourite artists, we’re just as eagerly lapping up the fashions on display across those picturesque, grassy green fields. The Californian desert can be unforgiving – from its sweltering hot days, to its cold desert night – and we’ve already been noticing a trend toward more ‘casual’ incognito fits from celebrity attendees, many of whom are placing function and comfort at the forefront of their sartorial choices this weekend – not a face gem or hot pant in sight. Others are still embracing the full bohemian ethos of Indio, California, donning flowing maxi dresses, lace-up leather pants and statement cowboy boots as they tromp across the desert. Whatever your flavour, we’ve compiled a list of some of our favourite looks from weekend one so far.

Check out our picks below.

In the depths of the Coachella Valley, you’ll often find little pockets of music mayhem. Among the wild ether you’ll stumble into one of the many tents sandwiched with a mass of people all taking in the collective electric atmosphere. This year, the Sahara tent was truly the place to be and more importantly where the women truly reigned supreme, with impressive acts from City Girls and VNSSA, it was only going to go up from here. Enter, GG Magree who in her first stint at the festival, blazed the stage in an asymmetrical Maison Close fit and all her spunky glory. In the past two years alone, the Aussie producer and singer-songwriter has gone from strength to strength, expanding on her rock heavy repertoire. Now she’s back with the highly-anticipated EP in “Dichotomy”, a display of gritty vocals and punchy emotions. While on the ground for weekend two, we had the pleasure of talking to her about her first time performing here, toxic relationships and when she’ll back to visit us on home soil.

GG, it’s so great to chat with you. First off, congratulations on your epic Coachella set. It was a wild ride. Tell us, how did you feel performing at the festival for the first time?

Coachella has always been the goal for me. I remember when I first started out, I put it on my vision board and I knew when I performed I would want to do something I’ve never done before. Bringing a band and doing a whole live element for the first time ever was such a huge achievement. I love to make myself feel uncomfortable and I also get off on pressure and chaos so to have achieved my first Coachella, my first live performance, and also play a bunch of new music for the first time ever, I’d say I’m pretty happy with myself.

Already Dead goes through some pretty brutal emotions, how much of this inner struggle is part of your process when producing a record?

Everything I write is what I’m going through at that current time. When I was writing Already Dead, I was in the middle of a very toxic relationship which I knew wasn’t going to last and was super unhealthy, but there was something that kept me glued to it.

Alexandra Shipp was such a standout in the music video. Was that always a natural choice here?

Alex is not only one of the best actresses I know but she’s also one of my absolute best friends. Alex knows everything about me and she knew a lot about my mental state while in this toxic relationship. I got super emotional while we shot our scenes because it brought back a lot of suppressed feelings and I think that it really comes out in the video.

Your music videos are so visceral, they really get to the underbelly of the raw, undiluted female experience. Are you hands on with your creative vision?

Extremely. Everything is always my story. I’m an open book and I’m not afraid to be vulnerable and let the world in. I use art as therapy.

Your new EP Dichotomy seems to lean into the layers of personal heartbreak and inner demons. Was making this record cathartic for you as an artist?

Dichotomy is me coming into my skin and falling in love with my psychotic and broken parts. For a really long time, I was trapped in some pretty toxic relationships. Whether it was romantically, works-related, or friends, so I let go of everything and everyone that didn’t serve me. I know I’m crazy, weird, and I have bizarre kinks but to me, that’s what makes me different and beautiful. I love the darkness that makes my light shine.

Is there one song of yours that still really speaks to you whenever you perform it?

It was insane singing BITCH with my girlfriend Royal and The Serpent. We are light twin flames so our energy together is magnetic.

Are there any female artists you’d love to collaborate with?

There are honestly too many to name right now. I really think females are dominating the world. I surround myself with boss-ass ladies and I’m forever grateful for them.

What’s coming up for you for the rest of 2022?

More music, playing in Europe a lot of the summer, returning to Australia for some home shows, oh and you might see me on your TV soon.

GG’s EP Dichotomy will be released on May 19th and you can catch her latest video below.

It’s the festival to trump them all, and after two years of cancellations (including the notable absence of crochet and fringe from our social feeds), Coachella is back, baby. But despite Harry Styles unveiling a couple of new songs it’s not all rosy out there in Colorado Desert. Not at all. A growing tide of voices that attended Coachella over the weekend are calling out Revolve Festival, a traditionally exclusive influencer and celebrity only sideshow. Some are even comparing it to the cursed Fyre Festival.

Granted, we didn’t actually attend Revolve Festival, hell, we weren’t even in the same country. But thanks to a stream of TikTok videos and unsolicited Instagram pics, we were sailing through the air on that flying swing ride in spirit. This also put us in the unique position to hear the criticism levelled at Revolve Festival. Below we round up everything we know so far.

What is Revolve Festival?

Revolve Festival is one of many branded events created to coincide with Coachella. Taking place annually, 2022 was the festival’s fifth year in action, and while it’s usually an invite only event cordoned off for celebrities and influencers, this year influencers were able to purchase tickets (at a steep price) to participate in the festivities.

So what’s the drawcard of Revolve Festival? In past years it’s been attended by names like SZA, Cardi B, Kendall Jenner and this year was no different, with Chloe and Halle Bailey, Sydney Sweeney, Timothée Chalamet and Kendall Jenner turning up. Aside from presenting an opportunity to party with high profile celebrities, with outfits courtesy of Revolve, punters could enjoy complimentary drinks made from Jenner’s 818 tequila, free food from Erewhon, free drinks from Celsius and live performances from Willow Smith, Jack Harlow, Post Malone and more. The festival also promises plenty of content and photo opportunities, including a swing chair ride and a platform section with the Revolve branding as demonstrated by Kim Kardashian.

However, this time around influencers are claiming that Revolve Festival was less than serene.

Why are the influencer girlies so upset?

BREAKING @LAMag #Coachella Dispatch: Sources on the ground telling us there is apparently drama going down at Revolve Festival, that “sinks to level of Fryre Festival.” Influencers stranded in the dirt with no water, under the hot sun for HOURS, waiting for buses that aren’t…

— Joseph Kapsch (@JosephKapsch) April 17, 2022

The short and short of it is transport. While the Fyre Festival comparison is somewhat a stretch, after all Revolve did deliver on all the other festival accoutrement, there was only one way to get to the festival and it was by bus. In order to safeguard the exclusivity of the event, Revolve opted to leave out the specific address and have punters travel via its shuttle service. It all went wrong when the buses stopped coming and influencers were stranded in the dirt, without shade or water, waiting for up to 7 hours with no communication as to what was going on. Some report seeing people pass out in the line from heat stroke. In the event that a bus did show, the groups of people waiting pushed and shoved to hitch a ride. In the end, some influencers were told to leave and didn’t get into Revolve Festival at all.
