Since June last year, your sign, your life force has been panning for gold. The gold being what is truly meaningful in your life. Jupiter is such an experiential teacher that some of you may have found that in this sifting process, you have been able to identify and release what was meaningless. Sometimes Jupiter takes us into the experience of existentialism to really get clear on what it is that fills us up in the most nourishing of ways. This process continues until June 30 this year and won’t happen again for another 12 years. This is like a Marie Kondo process but heavier on the non-physical. As a sign so deeply linked to those first primal waves of an emotional experience, your feeling senses are guiding you here, as is your own vitality (your Sun), what makes you feel alive, what makes you feel wonderment?

“This is like a Marie Kondo process but heavier on the non-physical.”

Speaking of your inner waters, all three Mercury Retrogrades will take place in the three water signs this year, with yours (Mercury Retrograde in Cancer) running from June 29 – July 23 and all three will offer you an opportunity to not only feel into any stagnant waters but to bring reflection and curiosity into your own depths. You are beautifully sensitive and can read, “am I safe”, in every room that you enter, your crab shell either armouring up or opening up based off of your intel. Cancerian mastery arises from turning your lens on yourself for a while and drinking from your own cup first, tending to you. It’s less about reacting to the room and more to do with inner buoyancy. If there is any area in your life where you find yourself stuck in a loop of emotional reactivity, these retrogrades will aid you in finding and befriending their roots.

“Cancerian mastery arises from turning your lens on yourself for a while and drinking from your own cup first, tending to you.”

Uranus moves back into Gemini in April this year until 2033 and this falls into your 12th house, a territory of dreams, visions and their meeting place, the imagination. With Uranus here, your dream worlds may become amplified, with messages of liberation and new worlds surfacing from the intangible. The sign of Aries rules over your 10th house, a territory that governs your roles and responsibilities out in the world, a fellow go-getter (Cardinal) sign like yours. Saturn and Neptune will both take up long transits here and your action-taking energy will be bolstered not only by the creative juice of Neptune but by the pragmatic, long-range thinking of Saturn. Here there is a merger between the vision, the how-to and the devotion to show up for your dreams. This is a potent year for you, one where the ingredients for a nourishing and meaningful life become wildly conscious and obvious for you. These are things you have tasted and understood many times, now there is more of this foundation-building energy to plant yourself here and blossom.

The ever-sensitive crab is coming out of its shell. In the words of Jules Ferrari, “there is something so wonderfully complex about your sign, Cancer. There’s much to glean from your inner world by looking at the movements of your ruler, our Moon. A cyclical creature that spends half her time waxing and growing in light (taking action/being in the world) and half of it waning (receding into your own inner and outer home, nurturing your own cup). ”

For those shopping for the treasured Cancer in your life, sentiments that go beyond the materialistic are your safest bet. Beyond that, gifts for the home are also sure thing, given that you’re dealing with a serial homebody. As long as you’re dealing with their heart in your decisions, you’re in steady hands.

Below, find our round up of the perfect gifts for the Cancer in your life. From nods to water for feeling, home objects for nesting, and sentimental pieces for all of the emotions. These are the perfect ways to show the Cancer in your life how you care for them.

The post January’s Wolf Full Moon in Cancer will have you feeling deeply emotional appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
We welcome our first Full Moon of 2025 on 14 January. It will reach its fullest point early in the morning at 9:26am AEDT.

But you’ll get your best view of it around sunset as it rises and the sky darkens. As the Southern Hemisphere is still enjoying the summer season, the Moon will be sitting closer the the horizon; thus appearing bigger than it normally would. So make sure your eyes are on the sky just before the 8pm sunset.

This particular Full Moon falls in the Water sign Cancer, and it traditionally known as the Wolf Moon. The naming convention comes from Colonial American, Native American and European sources – this Moon would signal the peak of the winter season, where the wolves would be heard howling.

What to expect from the Cancer Full Moon in January astrologically

We know that Full Moons are the energetic high point of the Moon Cycle. They’re intense periods, often linked to moodiness, heightened emotions and high energy. Some will also consider Full Moons a moment for deep intrinsic illumination. A time for fostering new ideas, creativity and also revealing the truth behind the situations occurring in your life. With this Moon falling under the influence of Cancer, these typical impacts will be supercharged. The Moon is Cancer’s ruling planet, and with this alignment, we’ll feel the intensity of both influences increase.

Too often Cancer is maligned as a complainer or crier. Cancer has an emotional depth that outstrips the rest of us. It allows them engage with people at a different level. They have a deep and insightful understanding of the people around them and have a seemingly infinite well of compassion for the problems of the world. It is this rich emotional and empathetic spectrum that gives Cancer its unique creative abilities. Their creative pursuits always feel multidimensional as they layer in their deep understanding of the human experience.

Yes, this is quite an intense energy to fuel an already emotional and moody time. In a way it is also rebirthing. Here, this Moon in Cancer will have us truly in touch with our inner self and our own emotional reservoirs. It can be painful, diving into the pit of feelings you rarely reach out to touch. But ultimately, it is a cleansing process – when managed in a healthy way of course. With Mars conjunct with the Moon (and also in retrograde), this placement softens any aggression that may arise during this process; allowing us to let go and move on in a serene fashion.

Our Moon in Cancer will also inspire a bold sense of creativity – especially if you already have strong Water placements in your natal chart. The book you’ve been trying to write, a new idea will could come to you. The living room re-orientation you’ve been umming and ahhing about? You could finally have the energy to pull the trigger. The suite of award season films you’ve been wanting to dive into? Prepare to feel the inspiration to truly absorb them.

For those with Earth in their big three, you might also find immense comfort from your home. Simple pursuits like gardening or experimenting with a new recipes can offer a homely reprieve from the intensity of the world. Cancerian influences can make us all prone to “bed-rotting” energy, and channeling this into enjoying the simple pleasures of your home can feel cathartic.

Is there anything to watch out for?

The level of emotional intensity brought forth by this Moon could be a lot to handle, particularly if you’re already in a fragile space. It’s important to nurture yourself and understand your own limits lest you emotionally burn out. Cancerian energy is also highly compassionate, and with the current state of the world, it could be easy to be overwhelmed by tragedy and trauma. Understanding the situations of others and refusing to turn a blind eye to injustice is an admirable quality that we should all embody. But at a certain point, if engaging in the tragedies of the world is harming you, then you may need to take a step back. You need to be whole and well if you’re going to continue to fight for and rally behind those who need support.

While Mars also sitting in Cancer at this time will help to round off any of our sharp edges as we look inward, it does have the negative consequence of halting positive action. Mars, our planet of passion and initiative. It encourages us to act and take a leap. But with Mars still in retrograde and the softness of Cancer influencing the planet, its tendency to act and quickly is shrouded. Ultimately, this can lead to indecision and anxiety. If you have a big decision that you’re having trouble acting on, maybe leave it for another time when you feel more ready with a clear cut answer.

Look after yourself.

Head to your January horoscopes to see what else is in store for you this month.

A FAST CAR AND A NEW MAP.

We begin the year with Mars, our initiating force and the desires that propel us forwards, retrograding in neighbouring Leo. On January 7th, Mars retrogrades back into your sign, where it will stay until February 25th. It will then begin to move forwards again, staying in your sign until April 18th. That means for almost the first four months of this year, Mars is churning through your sign. This is very significant. It’s like this big cosmic spotlight asking you to really sit with your own motivations; your own wants, needs and desires. What are they and when was the last time you re-visited them? Are they current? And most importantly, can you viscerally feel them? Are they alive and true for you? It’s like a reboot. Is your inner world on board? Or do your passing moods and feelings throw you off course of your desires? Are you able to take necessary, daily actions in life or is your forward momentum at the behest of your feelings and moods.

Anything that no longer resonates, in terms of the above, will show itself during that retrograde phase. Then, from February 25th until April 18th, there will be bountiful fuel to make the moves, to take the action and to propel yourself in the directions you are wanting to navigate this year.

On June 10th, Jupiter will enter your sign for the next year, which happens every 12 years. It’s an interesting sequence. The start of the year is about aligning you with more of what drives you and rebooting how you make moves, and then the second half is amplifying your Sun and your sign, bringing with it a range of luck and possibilities and optimism. More importantly, it’s a chance to feel into where you are applying your life force (your Sun) and to check in with yourself about whether these avenues still feel meaningful for you. If you get a case of the existential blues, then you know that this transit is doing its job. It’s a sure sign that there is some juice here for you – what brings your life meaning and why?

Jupiter’s medicine is standing in front of large vistas. It’s being awe-inspired and simultaneously humbled by the scale and the scope of existence. Part of your new curriculum is being the student and the teacher of your own vitality. What makes you shine? What dulls you? To where, and towards what, is life pulling you?

This is a transit that you can either play with and amplify, or simply spend feeling optimistic and buoyant. To get the most juice out of it, place yourself at the frontline of your own life, inhabiting that main character energy, remaining curious and open to what draws your attention and igniting your newly rebooted drive to set your co-ordinates for either the literal or metaphorical open road, so to speak. This is not a year to play it small, Cancer.

There is something so wonderfully complex about your sign, Cancer. There’s much to glean from your inner world by looking at the movements of your ruler, our Moon. A cyclical creature that spends half her time waxing and growing in light (taking action/being in the world) and half of it waning (receding into your own inner and outer home, nurturing your own cup). Moving through all signs in one month, the Moon, like you, is so changeable in your inner-world landscapes, moods and feelings. This is a year that can bring you a greater, conscious awareness of your own cyclical nature and how to align more with your own rhythms.

This year will also provide insight to any ancient emotions that still lurk in the background as subtle guides in creating your realities. The nodal axis and eclipses for all of this year will be in the signs and seasons of Aries and Libra, and this makes a strong aspect pattern to Cancer (in astrology it is called a T-Square). While you’ll be experiencing this transit all year, it is the eclipses in March, April and October that will provide these energetic release valves. This aspect may feel like inner friction, and this is a good thing, though not always comfortable. It’s good because the friction leads to action. And the action for your sign is really looking at and releasing any pent-up or ancient emotions that are taking up space in your field.

You’re a highly emotional creature, deeply attuned to the subtle currents of feeling, specifically the energy and emotions of others. A great ally for the year ahead will be to take note of and write out the things that you do that help you to emotionally regulate and regenerate. What aids you in tapping into your own emotions versus reading the room? This is an important distinction. The mythology of your sign is heavily tied to the archetype of the mother. The mother archetype isn’t anything to do with you having a family of your own.

In the context of your Sun sign, my recommendation is to look at how you play this maternal role to yourself, as a compassionate space holder. If there are still areas of your world where you offer your energy to others before nourishing your cup – particularly if you are in any dynamics that make you feel resentful and unseen – this nodal transit will bring those dynamics to the foreground.

Saturn will be in Pisces all year, making a very supportive aspect to your sign and aiding in creating or re-affirming the foundations of your own energetic and emotional boundaries. Just because you can read the room, doesn’t mean you need to. Just because you can sense the emotions in others and how to tend to them, doesn’t mean it’s your responsibility to do so. In short, this is a brilliant year to learn to read yourself first. Learning how to do that, as a Cancer, will give you access to so much more of your own energy and life force.

The post The upcoming Full Moon in Cancer is asking us to think with our heart not our head appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
The Holidays are over for us, but it seems that the Stars never stop with their partying. We have a celebratory Full Moon in caring Cancer, coming up January 7th at 10:09 am AEDT. It will be opposite the emotionally distant Capricorn Sun, providing us a little respite from the Goat’s tight-lipped smiles and somewhat cold shoulders. If Capricorn season is for setting New Year’s Resolutions and getting down to business, this lunation is asking us to check in with our feelings about all these plans. How so?

Unlike New Moons, which cast no light, Full Moons function to illuminate. But the important thing to note is that all this lunar wattage reflects the sunlight of the current season, in our case that of the Goat. Saturn-ruled Capricorn wants us to make long term moves – law school, purchase home, marriage – but the Full Moon in super intuitive Cancer is now saying: what’s in your heart, not your head?

Such a question is crucial because our heads are filled with thoughts that come from elsewhere–mom, dad, school, television, film, and all the other myriad and subterranean forces that wend their way into how we see the world and our place in it. To add to this, there is a social pressure element at work during Capricorn season. It’s our cardinal earth sign, meaning its goals are achievement-oriented. Cap’s energy pushes us up toward some notion of “success,” and there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, we should welcome that influence in our life, especially right now, as the New Year starts and we need a goal and direction. But we should make sure that we want to trek up the right mountain for us–not because the world, with its bourgeois demands, has planted a flag there that we think we should follow.

This is where the Full Moon in Cancer makes its appearance. While Capricorn season could be the best time for thinking long-term about reality, this Moon, which rules the Crab, attunes us to what we might call “feel-ality.” Are we ok with this or that goal on an emotional level, the voice of reason notwithstanding? If so, green-light your resolutions; if not, refine, discard, or re-draw them.

Advice for getting through the Full Moon in Cancer in January 2023

Think about getting together with people you trust and having a little New Year’s Resolutions pow-wow with them. Full Moons are for celebrating, ultimately, while Cancer energy is about being with those closest to you and processing. To align even more with the Moon’s energy, it wouldn’t hurt to be near places it especially loves: water, brooks, havens of the sea, fountains, open fields. Talk through your plans in a location that suggests fluidity to reach the kind of emotional clarity we’ve been mentioning.

Now, this notion of “emotional clarity” can be a bit of an oxymoron in that emotions are somewhat messy and unclear. We often talk about needing an objective eye to help us see through the tangle of our feelings. But with a Full Moon in Cancer right now, the Cosmos is saying that perhaps what we need instead is a subjective view on things to helpfully complicate the arid, untangled rectilinearity of “big plans.” If, in the end, the way we feel and the way we think align, move forward. If not, it’s time for a recalibration on New Year’s decisions.

The need for slowing down a bit and re-checking the messages we are sending to ourselves in the form of resolutions is further supported by the fact that we have a Mercury Retrograde occurring in Capricorn. Mercury relates to the intellect. It’s supremely analytical. People usually associate it with messaging and communication, but it is also the nerd of the Zodiac. It’s really into getting precise about numbers, facts, and figures. With Mercury retrograde, its rational function is getting cosmically shut down somewhat at the moment. The Stars are saying, in a double sense (Cancer Moon+Mercury retro), that feelings need to take precedence over hyper rational sense-making. Put the realm of fact and figures (Mercury) and big picture plans (Capricorn) on ice for the day, while you let the Cancer Moon cook a bit before deciding on the goals to work toward for 2023.

Each of the twelve signs inherits innate gifts and part of maturing into our particular Sun sign is looking at how we are using these golden keys. A large part of your magic lies in your intuitive senses. You can feel and read the energy and emotions in others, and you are one of a few signs that probably learnt how to read your environment before learning to read yourself. You may have also learnt to nurture your environments before learning how to nurture you. If it feels as if this is a journey you are still on – this isn’t a one-and-done kind of thing – then this year will likely offer you some insight into your own depths and desires, into the whispers of your own ancient wisdom.

Cancer represents the maternal archetype and the inner child that lives within all of us. The more that you can sit in unconditional presence with yourself and the deep waters of your inner realms, and then practically show up for and meet what arises, the healthier and more vital your Sun shines. Your warmth warms us. Cancer is an expedition into learning to fill up your own cup before pouring your elixir into all of ours. And yet part of your learning and early self-value may have come from how you can help others, ahead of helping yourself.

Venus, the planet of values and self-worth, will retrograde through your second house from 23 July to 4 September in the sign of Leo. What do you most value about yourself? How do you want to be and how are you valued in your closest relationships? To have people around you that see you and hold space for who you are, which you do innately for so many, would be a medicinal balm times ten.

Pluto will enter your eighth house in March and live there for the next two decades. This is the territory of intimacy with self and others and brings with it a natural analysis and understanding of your deeper machinations. Part of Cancer’s journey is towards intimacy. Sometimes this energy can tend the vulnerability of others rather than tending to one’s own and with Pluto here, you’ll gain a powerful and healing insight into how you do intimacy, and how you were conditioned to do intimacy, with plenty of opportunity to rewrite this narrative if you wish it so. The Venus retrograde is the perfect time to sit with who you are in relationships; how do you receive love and support from those around you? Do you? Does it feel safe to seek nurturance from others?

With whom do you remove your crab shell and bare your soft and tender self? As a natural space holder and intuitive, who holds you? When you nurture yourself – which, practically speaking, is doing anything that feeds your being – you also nurture your connection to your innate intuition. Later this year from October, Lilith, the archetype of deep feminine magic, wisdom and power, will enter your house of communication, where she will live for the next nine months. Make space for more receptivity in your life, because the intel is always there, knocking at your door and with this transit, it turns your intuitive dial up to eleven.

Part of your sign’s journey is to feel at home within yourself, to learn how to hold unconditional space for the range of emotional tides and moods that move through you. Cancer is the archetypal Mother and Inner Child. Your inner life can be primal in its emotional experience and reactions, and it is worth noting what outlets of expression you have for this deep layer of your being. With the eclipses in Scorpio in May and October, feel the waves that arise. You are being guided to develop or refine an expressive outlet for your rich inner world. What systems or rituals do you currently have for your emotional processing?

With the eclipses in Taurus in April and November, the energies are homing in on the sense of belonging that you find in your pockets of the collective. You may be drawn to renew or redefine the value you hold for the people, ideas and communities that bring meaning to you and work on strengthening the bonds you have formed here or to create new ones.

Jupiter will move between your terrain of beliefs and meaning and your work zone this year. Jupiter is both student and teacher and learns experientially. Until the 12th May and again from 29th October – 21st December, Jupiter’s interaction with your meaning, beliefs and higher mind will lead to more experimentation and direct experience as far as how you make meaning of your existence. This is an optimistic and buoyant transit, and you may be drawn to new perspectives, new teachers, new locations and heightened, expansive questions around well, the meaning of life but more precisely, the meaning of your life.

As it moves into the area of your work and public world, from mid-May to the end of October, allow yourself to cast out visions for the next chapter and iteration of your concrete identity out in the world. Call in expansive new influences who can show you new avenues or ways of working and being. The cosmic energies here are expanding your horizons as well as checking in with how meaningful (or not) your work and roles of responsibility are for you.

Saturn is still present in your 8th house of intimacy with self and others, working to survey and deepen your relationship to intimacy and commitment. What is the foundation you have built here? Are you curious of your psyche and shadows? Are you able to be vulnerable in your closest relationships or does the crab shell keep you encased, working to nurture others as a way of deflecting attention from yourself? What is your relationship to vulnerability? Do you hold loving space for yourself? Again, pick up the pen or your instrument of choice and express yourself. You are deepening your emotional connection to you this year, nurturing your inner world and sanctuary and it is self-expression that is the doorway through to this deeper connection.

The upcoming Venus in Cancer transit will urge you to value inner beauty https://www.russh.com/venus-in-cancer-july-2022/ Mon, 11 Jul 2022 07:00:23 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=165290 An important reminder to us all as we settle in to the second half of the year.

The post The upcoming Venus in Cancer transit will urge you to value inner beauty appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
For the past few weeks, Venus (love, desire, money, and beauty) has been toasting champagne in chatty Gemini, a sign in which Planet Diamonds energises our flirty, social, and sapiosexual interests (the Twins are cerebral and ruled by intellectual Mercury). Thus a few indications of this Venus-in-Gem transit have been something like: spending and loving more freely, or being drawn to headier books on the complex cursive of desire (I’m thinking of you, A Lover’s Discourse by Roland Barthes).

But from July 17th to August 20th, lovely Venus moves into maternal Cancer, the sensitive cardinal water sign best personified perhaps by an image of mum, sitting at the kitchen table to help us process the latest drama with you know who. Ultimately, this transit will ask us to show love in a deeper way than flighty and lighthearted Venus-in-Gem. By extension, it will ask you to value inner beauty (in a partner or yourself).

Now, it could be said that you should always “value inner beauty.” And while that’s true, of course, there are particular transits that make doing so more feasible, possible, or desirable. And here’s the deeper point: one way to think about astrology is that it doesn’t dole out little platitudes (“value inner beauty”); instead it indexes moments when otherwise flat truisms might transubstantiate into something like a lived truth, just as when the dead letter of the law becomes animated by the spirit of it.

If that is a general tip for thinking about Astrology with a capital A, here are some smaller ones specifically related to this upcoming Venus-in-Cancer placement.

First, don’t stay caught up in the blinged-out Gemini version of instaVenus. We are entering into more of a forgiving Mom jeans transit, where, say, you look beyond your helpmate’s failed attempts to load the dishwasher correctly and see instead the inner beauty in the intention, results notwithstanding.

Because this transit involves Venus, it obviously has to do with romance but such romance could manifest through a bit of good old fashioned sentimentality. Fear not being a bit cheesy in the way you express your love now. Organise a date night more in line with the themes of Cancer–cooking, nurturing heart to heart talks, moonlit walks, sending love poems, watching romantic comedies (the incredible “Moonstruck,” starring Cher and Nicolas Cage at his pre-hair plugs height, is perfect for the Diana-ruled Crab).

In addition to love and romance, Venus is associated with money, so purchasing things of sentimental value is indicated over the next few weeks. Seeing that there is a nostalgic inclination to Cancer, consider rekindling old memories with your bae. Return to a favourite hotel, resort, or music festival where you first held hands and listened to pre-covid pop music about unbridled consumerism (Remember Ariana Grande’s“7 rings”? Alas).

In all honesty, though, Cancer is the homebody of the Zodiac. Unlike Venus-in-Gem, where Planet Love was encouraging us to suffuse rooms with perfume, this transit is all about being with those closest to us. Cancer is familial and happiest being proximate to places it knows best. Of course, the shadow side to this proximity is that the mothering nature of Cancer, intensified by Venus, could turn to smothering a helpmate with endless love. Make sure to get out of the house–gardens, picnics, open air markets, country trails–in order to balance potential for internal combustion that comes with too much affection.

As is always the case with a given transit, some signs will be feeling this one more than others. Scorpio and Pisces, both of which form helpful trines with the Crab, will be extra activated by this Venus placement aspecting their natal Suns. A trine is an always auspicious angle of 120 degrees between two planets on the Zodiac wheel. Further, trines are of the nature of gift-giving Jupiter, which always wants us to expand our hearts and horizons. In this instance, Scorpio and Pisces should be in a position to initiate more care for those close to them.

Taurus and Virgo, both earth signs, could also be feeling more cosmically nudged, as they receive a nice “sextile” aspect with Cancer. Sextiles (planets 60 degrees apart) are said to be of the nature of Venus, which means sextile energy is considered auspicious and harmonious. The Bull and Maiden should get a double Venusian aspect here–double care, double love. Taurus is also Venus-ruled, so it will be doubly (or triply) pleased with this placement.

Unlike Taurus and Virgo, conservative Capricorn, fellow earth sign, will be at loggerheads with Cancer, as the Goat receives an opposition to the Crab. Oppositions are of the nature of malefic Saturn, the planet of lack. For Capricorns, this Venus transit may be emphasising what you do not have, or where you might feel a hole in your heart or chart. However, Saturn energy is all about work, so now is a great time for Capricorns to focus on where they can put more effort or care into their relationships. What are Cap’s long term goals for love? Saturn is not into flakiness–and neither is Venus-in-Cancer.

Finally Aries and Libra make a square to the Crab. Squares are of the energy of bellicose Mars, meaning they are generally not good. Like passengers flying coach on a packed red-eye flight to La Guardia, squared planets get stressed and irritated with each other–there is no easy win that is available to either of them. That said, Libra is Venus-ruled, so its square will be softened somewhat by the balm of Planet Diamond Queen. But Aries? Aries is always causing trouble. This square could manifest in heated words and tensions, along with high emotions (Cancer) and libidinous desire (Aries square Venus), which isn’t so bad, come to think of it.

In terms of important dates to attend to over the course of this transit, Venus will square Jupiter-in-Aries on July 25th. This could very well be a day of enlarged or amplified feeling (Jupiter+Cancer) and combativeness (square+Aries). Jupiter also deals with law, Cancer with fertility and the maternal. Accordingly, given the current climate, heated exchanges around reproductive rights and motherhood could manifest. This day will be especially impactful for those born between the 28th of June and 3rd of July–or March 28th to April 3rd. This square will also energise those who have planets around 8 degrees of Cancer and Aries.

A less hectic day looks to be July 27th, when the Moon-in-Cancer conjuncts Venus. This is a milk and honey transit. The Moon loves to be home in the Crab, so sweetness and light is augured here. Enjoy this evening by watching “Moonstruck” with close friends, bae, or both. Trust me. This placement will be especially potent if you were born around the end of June/start of July or have planets at 10 degrees of Cancer.

And, finally, August 2nd. Mars (libido) sextiles Venus. (Just writing that sentence gets one somewhat atwitter). As we’ve seen, sextiles are of the nature of Venuss and they indicate harmony, meaning Mars will be less gruff, though ready for amour here. This is a great day for relationships–both in and out of the boudoir–especially if you were born around July 7th to 12th or around the 8th to 13th of May, or if you have planets around 18 degrees of Cancer or Taurus.

Mark these dates and enjoy this benefic placement. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to pick out my outfit for this upcoming Venus/Mars sextile.

Your horoscopes for the upcoming New Moon in Cancer have landed https://www.russh.com/new-moon-in-cancer-june-2022/ Mon, 27 Jun 2022 04:30:52 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=164347 Welcome, to our inaugural “Mid-Year” Resolutions!

The post Your horoscopes for the upcoming New Moon in Cancer have landed appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
The Solstice has just hit and the year is half over. Alas. And yet, there’s still time to revive New Year’s resolutions, or, if we’re being honest, to scrap them entirely and set down new ones. Things change, after all.

Welcome, therefore, to our inaugural “Mid-Year” Resolutions, to be inscribed June 29th at 12:52pm (AEST) during this upcoming, powerful New Moon in Cancer, the only sign ruled by Diana (a name for the Moon, which poets like Keats evoke to sound fancy–hey, it works).

If our New Year’s Resolutions (penned for the Saturn-ruled Capricorn New Moon in January, 2022) were centred around goals that take time and effort to realise (Saturn stands for longevity and discipline), then our “Mid-Year” Resolutions (energised by an emotionally charged Cancer lunation) should come more from the heart. Let’s not think about Saturnal stuff now–instead let’s get in touch with what or who you really care about.

To this end, another way to approach this caring Cancer New Moon might be to explore the symbolism of the Crab itself, replete with its powerful albeit awkward pincers. As we know from Cancerians in general, once our cosmic crustacean grabs onto something, it doesn’t let go. For this lunation, ask what you want to grab onto, regarding work, romance, or family. This isn’t a “letting go” transit.

The image of the Crab’s pincers also implies that the things you hold onto should be close-at-hand, so to speak. These “Mid-Year” Resolutions shouldn’t be distant goals. Instead they should involve Cancer-tinged themes related to the home or those things closest to us.

Cancer, finally, is a Cardinal water sign. Cardinal signs initiate action in some way. They start seasons and they should also jumpstart our lives. The initiatory nature of this Cancer New Moon (when coupled with the fact that New Moons are inherently good times to plant seeds of desire to harvest later) makes this a particularly ripe moment for our inaugural “Mid-Year”Resolutions.

In what follows, we give you your Cancer New Moon Horoscope to help show you where best to put some care.

ARIES

The domestic Cancer New Moon lights up your Home zone. It doesn’t get more Cancerian than that. The Stars have spoken: add some love to your place, Ram. Remember: You can’t spell “hearth” without h-e-a-r-t.

TAURUS

With the emotional Cancer New Moon in your Communication zone, resolve to start an elaborate group text thread with your closest friends and/or siblings on which you share reviews of your favourite rom-coms (the underrated “While You Were Sleeping,” starring Sandra Bullock, deserves more love).

GEMINI

The caring Cancer Moon lights up your Money zone. Resolve to spend a bit more cash on things of sentimental value. It’s ok to purchase those vintage glass birds that remind you of Grandmother’s garden.

CANCER

The Cancer Moon and Sun are both in your Ego zone. Resolve to be near Father (Sun) and Mother (Moon) more–but do so on your own terms. “Hey, there’s this new wine I want to try and would rather not drink alone anymore. Come by.” Your terms, your place. No weird trips to the mall with Mom to look at blenders. Those are her terms.

LEO

Ooof. You’ve got the grasping claw of the Cancer Moon transiting your zone of the Unconscious, Secrets, and Hidden Enemies. This placement is too complex to interpret. Maybe show you care by holding onto some secrets a bit longer for the good of the relationship or friendship?

VIRGO

A great transit for you, with the loving Cancer New Moon in your Friendship zone. Resolve to have best friends over for that dish they adore. They get nourished with food, and you with praise, which is its own kind of delicious sustenance. Win-win.

LIBRA

A career-themed Cancer New Moon for you. Remember that this lunation has extra initiatory power, what with the Crab’s cardinal energy activated. Start a project at work that is dear to you–or, if work doesn’t allow this kind of freedom, maybe apply for a new role in the company? Your heart needs to be in it. But don’t leave your job. Cancer isn’t saying that.

SCORPIO

With the soulful Cancer New Moon lighting up your Spirituality zone, resolve to re-acquaint yourself with a sacred text or a favourite verse therein (Matthew 7:1-3 perhaps?). Find new wisdom or meaning even in something familiar. You never step in the same river twice.

SAGITTARIUS

The Cancer New Moon should infuse your Intimacy zone with heightened sensitivity to a helpmate’s sweet embrace or charged innuendo. Behold the Moon together and resolve to understand one another through the sensual poetry of each other’s fingertips.

CAPRICORN

The Cancer New Moon highlights your Partnership zone. Even though there is initiatory power in this lunation, it’s not time for a new relationship. It’s more likely that you just want your helpmate to load the dishwasher correctly. Whatever your emotional need, now is the time to say it loudly.

AQUARIUS

Sometimes your nature seems so distant, with all your new-fangled theories about neuronal plasticity. Resolve to put Cancer love and care into your diet, an area of your chart highlighted by this lunation. No more canned soup at midnight because you’re too overloaded with solving humanitarian crises. Real soup, ok? Made from scratch.

PISCES

The fertile Cancer New Moon floods your Creativity and Fun zone. Resolve to finish that one song you played to your friend last week–the one they sort of listened to while absorbed in TikTok videos.
