It’s a big week for Fred Again.. fans — and an even bigger one for those hoping he’s eyeing a return to Australia. After weeks of speculation, it’s been confirmed that the British producer’s long-teased collaboration with Amyl & The Sniffers is officially dropping this Friday, October 3.

Amy Taylor first shared the news on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, posting that she was “very excited” about the upcoming track — a remix of 'Big Dreams' from Amyl & The Sniffers’ latest album, Cartoon Darkness. A day later, she followed it up with a photo of her and Fred, confirming the release date and adding fuel to already-raging fan theories about what this means.
So, with the song (nearly) out in the world, the question on everyone's lips now is: does this collab hint at a return to Australia for Fred Again..? Here's what we know.
Could a surprise Australian set be coming soon?
When it comes to Fred Again... basically anything is possible. Supporting the theory that an Australian tour (or at least a single show) is on the cards, he’s in the middle of his USB002 tour — which involves 10 cities over 10 weeks, with the location of each show revealed just days before.
While it's been mostly Europe-focused so far, the format leaves room for last-minute curveballs. The one-show-a-week structure is designed to protect both his creative energy and his love of performing, with Fred explaining: “I wanted to do a whole tour where I can be in that feeling with everyone EVERY time.”
And let’s not forget: Australia showed up hard last time the DJ graced us with his presence. In 2024, Fred Again..’s run of shows here — including a rooftop set and a surprise Opera House gig — sold out almost instantly, with fans lining up for hours to get in. He knows the crowd is here. And now, he’s teaming up with one of our most beloved punk exports? We’re listening, Fred...
Stay tuned.
